It was fun at first, but I get the sense Todd doesn't find it as funny anymore. After all, the man's name is his brand.
That does look better. If only I knew someone who could slap a full-flat grind on one...
That sort of thing does get old pretty quick.
Perhaps I'm just thin-skinned but I'm a little snotty about that sort of thing. I've lost count of how many times I've introduced myself to someone and they immediately start calling me "Jim". "Excuse me. If my freakin' name was 'Jim' I would have said so, Captain Overly-Familiar." This goes over especially well in job interviews. Seriously... I've never not gotten a job where that happened...
On the other hand, if you're a fellow maker who loves to bestow silly nicknames in serious non-snark/chat conversations, and whose knife's edge breaks out disastrously during a public challenge, I reserve the right to call you "Chip" in public for the rest of time. That's just turnabout/fair play![]()

Thats Epic, care if I use that?
To JAMES point, there worse things to be called...... Chip comes to mind, but then again, niether one of our knives failed at the challenge did they JT?

This is the one thing I liked about WW when I was doing it with the wife.

...is it a dangler style?
Do you prefer "Jimmy"?
I made it to snap to a pack strap or use a D-ring and dangle it.
Eh, you know its just one of those things, actually at very first it kinda annoyed me but figured what the hell, at least there talking about me, I dont mind it so much now, but I could take it or leave it. the difference now is at least everyone knows what my real name is. There was a thread started one time to do nothing but give me hell about my name. Here it is if you guys wanna get it out of your system, I dont care.

to Guyons point, I really dont care what people say about me, but I dont like it when people joke about my craft just because I take it more seriously than I take myself, Its like talking about someones kids or wife and claws will come out.

Got around to making some pants for my "Doc's Chopper". A parang made by AverageIowaGuy that I snagged at the last gathering. I've been looking for something that can split/chop/slice/dice and flip pancakes for kayak trips. This will fill the bill this summer.

Where'd you get that ring? I've been looking for some very similar in size/style, but I may have overlooked them at the usual sources.
Didn't know you were a skilled leather worker. That looks awesome. That blade is bad ass too. I remember you getting that. Looks look like a chopping machine.
Love that leather trade
Believe it or not, Wally. They've got D rings, buckles and cord locks.
