I've been thinking about getting one of those hawks, but that sheath looks like it would make the cake, does it pull straight down or does it hook the heel of the blade a little?

hooks either side, not straight down, I only have this M-48, cold steel trail and a sog fast hawk. I think any hawk will break this little guys I don't think are made for abuse...
trail hawk is more for crafting and the other two are more for zombie head bashing... :D

Did a little work on the Husky today. Sanded and finished the handle, cleaned up the grind and sharpened it. I hot waxed the cover and added a keeper too. I use a 50/50 mix of BLO and mineral spirits on the handle which soaks in well and leaves a great feeling satin finish. Didn't get to chop anything today because of weather but made some feathers and did some light cuts in the shop. Daizee is right, it's softer than a Wetterlings and seems about the same as a Gransfors. Takes a very nice edge.

succulent morsels of bacon ends deep fried in bacon fat, and then lovingly hand layered with 4 kinds of pork and a sauce made from bacon cracklings/drippings, wrapped in a ground bacon flour tortilla, deep fried in more bacon grease, and served with dipping bacon.

Go tell it on the mountain!

And when we die, they shall know that we lived as few have dared to dream!

don't forget the shredded bacon cheddar melted in to help hold it all together and serve it up with a glass of Sam Adams triple bock for the maple-y goodness.

I hear good things about Kelt's civilian line Dubz. If I ever get rid of some other packs maybe I'll try one.

I finally posted up my cold weather challenge. Told y'all I was a procrastinator! Yesterday was my daughter's 2nd bday, damn time is soaring by.

Also speaking of hawks got my CS trailhawk in the mail today. Love this little thing so far. Also I put my new fave of cheap folders, the Cryo that I've been EDCing in the shot and a BK7 because...well, I am a beckerhead first!

sorry for the blurry pic...I'll get some good outdoor in action shots soon....

I love my cryo too. Amazing knife, especially when you consider the price---it feels like it should cost twice as much as it does
