Anyone got some suggestions for a good lightweight hiking sleeping bag? I have the military sleep system but I generally only use that for camping since it weighs like 10+ pounds.

My brother says it was a marmott, it was really small and light weight. I'm sure that he got it at r e i.

Ah don't forget to fill the bottle. Then I think you're all packed. Also Skystorm, the 3 piece sleep system should be good for summer. Just use the bivy and green sleeping bag. Or bivy and a poncho liner, light as hell and more than adequate.

I am all packed now, got 8 knives for a 7 day trip. I am w murph, that system is good if you only take the parts you need. But if you still want a new bag, and who doesn't want new toys :) def check r e i, their policies are amazing.

Yeah the patrol bag is pretty light, and with the bivey bag you dont even need a tent.

Just went to a real A/N surplus store for the first time since I was a kid.  Can't believe I didn't spend ten million dollars. They had a serrated Camillus BK2.

One of the things I was looking at was packs. All theirs are by Fox Tactical. Prices were decent. Anyone know anything about those packs?

It just got done snowing here. I know I'm only 20 so it isn't saying much, but this has been the strangest winter I can remember.
Stay safe guys.
