  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Went to the range again, tried out an M&P in 9mm. Fun stuff. Might have to re evaluate my decision to get an XD.

USPS lol.

FYI, the "Delivered" line was not there last night or this morning.

XD's are good weapons.. I have a .40 & a .45 XD.
Agreed. I also own a .40 XD. Love it. Very accurate and comfortable in the hand. You wouldn't be dissapointed with one.

I was told to try out as many pistols as I can before purchasing one; I would theoretically weed out those that I didn't like.

Granted, I've only tried out a handful, but I liked each one. No "Damn, this thing sucks". I think it's down to XD and M&P at this point. I really want to go polymer. I can't get my hands on both in the same cal though, so I can't quite do a head to head.

EDIT: what's the difference in kick between XD40 and 45? I've already tried a 4" 40, is it similar for 4" 45?

Im not an XD man but recoil wise .45 usually has a softer recoil more of a push. The .40 is sharper or snappier it jumps more. Thats my experience with Glocks and 1911's anyway.

Damn Cabelas and their free shipping, pretty well stocked on 22 and 9mm, You can fit 6500 rounds of 22 in an ammo can. Now I just need to replenish the 6.8 cans.
