Trade, those are fantastic photos. Thanks for sharing them.

G&B, congrats on going Gold again.
I use a DMT 6" Coarse Diasharp. It does a great job, and sets a fantastic edge. I have thought about replacing my Spyderco Benchstones (medium, fine, ultra-fine) with a set of DMT's but I can't get over the ceramics. The sound they make when I use them is therapeutic.

Because this never gets old

No idea what this is, but reading the comments it looks like something I'd like. I'll devote some time to it when I get around to watching super bowl commercials later. Also, answer your damned phone Dbag.

Nice, Hoss. What's on your list these days? I've got a fairly extensive gun wishlist right now myself.

How much time you got? It's seriously long. Little bit of everything really. From wheel guns to semi's, tacticool and fine hunting shotguns, lever rifles and AK's. If it shoots, I probably want one.

Just to give you an idea, there are:

3 glocks
6 S&W revolvers
5 Ruger revolvers
3 Mossberg shotguns
3 AK variants
5 lever action rifles
2 1911's
2 bolt action rifles

And several others.

Probably going to be accumulating more random pawn shop stuff along the way too. If I had my way I'd probably end up with at least 100 guns and I'd never stop looking. Someone asked me years ago if I collect guns. I said collecting implies some type of discernment or theme. I don't collect guns, I accumulate them. More than once I saw something interesting and inexpensive and bought it just because and that's pretty much how I operate when I go hit the gun stores every week. They ask me what I'm looking for and I say "Whatever you have that I want." I don't always know what that is before I see it.

In other gun news, I was wanting to put Slim grips on my old Sig P220. For those that don't know, the old style hammer spring assembly won't fit under the Slim grips so you have to upgrade to the newer style they use now. No big deal, the parts are cheap and drop right in. Or at least they did on my other gun. Turns out my pistol is so old it even has a different style hammer (the old spur hammer instead of the round hammer they use today) and a few other parts I need to swap. Figure I'll invest in a short reset trigger kit since the frame is totally stripped right now. Oh well. I don't like off-the-shelf stuff anyway. If there's anything I can do to tinker with my guns or whatever else to set them apart I'll do it so going through this old sig just means I'll like it even more.

How old is your 220?

welp, i guess its bout time for another day to start. Im not looking forward to walking in all that snow we just got :(

I cannot see the picture everyone keeps quoting. For some reason. They don't like to show up on my phones sometimes.

It's a "guy on a buffalo" video.

Ahhhhh, I may have seen that before. Ill have to look on my PC later.

I'm looking at getting a new handgun soon. I'm kinda leaning towards a Glock beings I don't have one, or possibly and m&p 45.

but you have such good taste, I can't imagine you'll actually like it for very long. :D

I used to like my Glocks, but they do sort of have all the panache of a hammer. I do really like the Springfield XD(m) that I picked up a couple years ago. Same sort of utilitarian design, but sexier. So, for me, the Glock is now kind of "meh".

I'm wrong, and not happy about it.

Lol. Steer me in another direction Daizee. I'm thinking 9mm or 45. I have 2 1911's already and my next will be a custom, but I don't want to spend that kind of money now. I have the CZ SP01 and a Kahr in 9mm. I carry the Kahr and plink with the CZ. I'm looking for another plinker and may want to lock it up in a gun vault in my vehicle. Around $600 is my max.

If a Glock fits your hands you will love it. For me it points better and I shoot it much better than anything else. It is stone cold reliable with anything you run through it. I added night sights and a 3.5lb ghost trigger and its perfect. I love 1911's and my Smith revolvers but for practical purposes you can not beat a Glock.

Hoss, how easy would it be to make a set of scales yourself? I was thinking about getting a Sig 238 at some point and making my own grips for it.

I just have to say, I love my PPQ's. I have one in each caliber. Will buy a PPQ Navy when they get one out with the paddle release again as well, and probably a 5" if those become available with a paddle. Sweet, sweet trigger, and the ergos are very good. Felt at least as good as the CZ's I've handled, although I would like a Shadow at some point. I'm just obsessed with the paddle mag release, being a lefty.

Oh hey, Psy, have you made any holsters yet? I think I'm better at those than I am at knife sheaths, sadly enough, considering I've only ever made 2. The second one was good enough for me to carry around all the time.

I have played around with it some nothing to brag about but they worked.

This was either my first or second one, I have only done 3 I think.
