Look no further than Walther PK380. The ones I've shot and handles are awesome. Accurate, reliable ( 380 is a coin toss imho), affordable and COMFORTABLE!!!!!

Also, Speer makes a Gold Dot that is pretty damn lethal.....

Damn Moose, that looks like a winner right there.

To answer his question, yes.

Except for the footwear....good lord, what are those? Air Jordans?
Puma Speed cats. I was wearing them till the first time I slid, then I switched them out for a pair of Rocky Alpha boots.

These boots.

And light. Even loaded down. Course I'm used to 1911's and HK's.

I've wanted a Walther since I first saw Dr. NO. So, i started with a PPK/s, then the P99, P990, PQS( AMAZING!!!) And recently the PK380.

I got rid of them all, though. Seems unless its a 45ACP, they don't hang around long.......

I have issues......

If I were gonna get a Walther .380, I think I'd have a tough time NOT going for the PPK. Although I think I want to try out the Pico. And yes, 9mm and .45 aren't as snappy. I practice with .40 a lot, and then periodically shoot my PPQ 9mm. In fact, I think my next range trip is going to be with the 9. It feels like a treat to shoot after the .40. I'm pretty good at controlling the .40 though, and it's currently MUCH easier for me to find ammo for. 9mm is great, but it's hard for me to replace. I try to shoot at least 50 rounds a week. I'll usually shoot 10-20 to warm up, and then practice drawing and firing 3 rounds from my holster, with some reloading drills in the mix. The new range has programmable targets too. So I can practice drawing and firing on a target when it rotates to present itself, reloading, doing a threat assessment, and reholstering, at various ranges. I want to get some of that laser practice ammo so I can save ammo costs and get more trigger time at home.

Unnngh.....laying here with a SCREAMING lower back.

Not sure what I did, but even Ranger candy ain't making a dent in the twisted muscle department.

I must rise and begin Teh Cooking for Kiddies.........

I ordered a Walther PK380 and P22 in December for a guy who was getting them for his at-that-time unborn son... He wanted a set to start his son off with a .22 and work up to .380 as he got older, and he wanted similar/identical controls so that handling would be consistent. I ran into him and another regular at the range a few weeks later and they told me that had a blast test-firing both pistols since the newborn wasn't quite ready yet...

And, yes, there are a lot of people who look down on .380, but with modern loads, there isn't that much difference in actual stopping power between .380 ACP, .38 SPL and 9mm...particularly if you look at the statistics from actual shootings. Like Moose said, first holes in the other guy wins, as long as they are in the right place.

A carry pistol is next on my list.... I'm really leaning towards the SR9C or M&P9SC; however, I do like how the Walther P99 looks.

Get a cheap laser for it( $30 at China mart) and pratice yor dry firing at home with it. You will learn tons of good habits from that little bouncing laser beam.

Shows you when you pull/push a shot, helps you seee where your faults are on you trigger squeeze, and helps you hone in your hip fire first shot.

I dry fire a lot. Probably over a 500 snaps a week. Each one will reveal something.

And some Azoom snap caps. Man I love those things.

My Dad torments me with pictures such as this..... Damn, I miss the country.

The old '53 CJ3B is being put to work as a wood truck. That tiny Jeep with tire-chains is virtually unstoppable back in the woods.

Yeah, so you shared your pain with us, thanks.

Caliber is irrelevent, speed and accuracy is paramount.

First person to put holes in the other guy(s) wins.

Be it 22lr or 50DE, doesn't matter.

I carry a 45ACP, thats my choice. I have more rounds behind me in that caliber, and the guns I shoot, I shoot them a lot. I can put out fast, accurate fire with them, so, go with what you know.

My back hurts like blazes......

Getting old sucks.......having to work for a living sucks more. I should have been born rich instead of handsome.......

About time somebody gets you to do something useful.

Back in the kitchen!

SWMBO shoveled off the front porch and most of the back deck between 1:30 and 2 - and it was piling up behind her.
I just repeated the experiment and cleared 3" of snow off the stuff she shoveled 2 1/2 hours ago - and by the time I was done, there was already 1/4" of fresh on one end of the deck and close to 1/2" on the porch steps.
so far, since 9 AM we've gotten about 6" - and a lot of spots have drifted significantly deeper than that.
snow plow just made his first pass of the day down our road, too.

edit to add: made a borscht like substance for lunch today - used a Becker kitchen knife to cut up the taters and onions.

On a positive note, he'll drive some new blood over this way for a look. I'm tired of all you regular reprobates anyway. :D
Y'all be on your best behavior, and don't scare off the newbs.
Who, us assholes who post "see ya"?

Hey Biscuit, my wife can't figure out a gas pump either. I thought it was strange that she wanted me to take her car to pick up our daughter.

Gotta go move some water around again... I'm thinking if I had a fire hose I could get all the snow off real easy from the hill. The rest of the family doesn't like that idea. They seem to think the hill will turn into ice if I do that.

only 1 way to find out....

Just turned on the news... Apparently it's snowing outside. I would have never been able to figure that one out on my own. They've only been talking about it for a week. I'm glad I went to work crazy early and left crazy early or I'd still be out trying to drive around the city. Looks like there are wrecks everywhere. Everybody should have got plenty of winter driving practice so far this year. They should have been able to figure this one out....

No problem... Misery loves company.
