Someone said convertable Blackhawk. 45Colt/45ACP has to be one of the best ones, ever.

You can blame me for that one... you can load 'em from *pop* to *kerthump*.
Softie duplex roundball loads are HILARIOUS from .45Colt.

So if you get one, you must take a picture of it with the Moose Mountain 5. :D

Do they even make enough of them that you can get started?
I mean... what's the point if you can get only one or two?

I have four on pre-order to construct my wharncliff ninja star of death.

The Spyderco ROC is another weird but cool one. The battlestation is just weird LMAO

If the firefly wasnt orange id go for that. Im mostly interested in the FFG manix 2 though and maybe the sage3 with bolt action. But honestly i dont think ill ever own more than 1 folder over 100 bucks at any one time. I like fixed blades too much.

The Vantage Pro has been holding me over great while i wait on the FFG Manix2 though.

It does look like it could peel an apple beautifully!

I don't have a sense of scale on it though, I can't tell if it is like the other Byrd knives or if it is like the cold steel Spanish knife. I don't remember the name but it was something like a 9 or 11 inch folding blade.

New Emberlit Fire ant, that's replacing the mini. Slotted for Trangia burners. 3oz in Titanium and just over 6oz in stainless steel:

Something a lot more simple.. but still BIG. This cut out in cardboard feels good in hand

You know its a big knife when even I say "Damn, thats a bit much isnt it ?"...lol Whats that WW ? 16 inches of blade 3+ inches wide ? 6 inches of handle ?

Plain old rubbing alcohol. Found the info online and cleaned up a Swiss Engineer's ruck in no time. I think I used a half alcohol, half water mixture. After wiping off the mold/mildew and letting it dry, I'd treat the leather with Obenauf's LP (my new favorite) or SnoSeal or something similar.

ETA: They won't look "new" after treatment with these products though. Most/many treatments will darken the leather and maybe give it a sheen. You could do a very light coat of oil instead.
Thanks, I'll give it a try. I've got some mink oil as well as Sno-Seal and some other silicone treatment. Had a bottle of chlorine mildew stuff, but didn't want to start spraying it down and destroy it. If it works, I've got some packs that are doing the same thing on their leather parts...as far as the "new" thing, they're black, for one, and they're work pouches, so I'm not too worried.

the firefly is pretty hideous to me, especially in orange. But OTHER spydies in orange aren't so bad. I LURVE my Dragonfly-2. Now i'm drooling over the Native-5.

I can imagine 1-3 folders in the $100-$150 range, but that's it. Right now I have zero, but am jonesing for my first...

That little Emberlit is super cute, Dubz.

A bit much? Nah, i think its just the right amount of much :D I know this is excessive. But thats what im wanting. I have lots of good functional knives. I want something that, simply put, is HUMONGOUS lol, Something like this will be more of a novelty item, but i will indeed use it for the fun of it.

You got a good eye on ya. Just over 15.5" from tip to handle. 6" Handle. 2.5" wide. It would be .265" thick 52100

But im working on an improved handle, it may be just a little longer when finished. But not over 7".

No offense intended WW. I am a big blade guy too..lol That thing is a beast. Next to the Rtak2 really puts it in perspective.
I bet it will be fun to play with.

We have different taste in some areas. I think the dragonfly just looks weird, but i loved my Native5. I think the firefly looks really cool im just not a huge fan of orange...

No offense taken, i was just teasing back lol.

And yea thats why i took the picture next to the RTAK2. I didnt even realize how big it was myself until i sat it next to another "big" knife LMAO, then i was like DAMN, and i got all giggly.

Im not sure if they even make kydex big enough to wrap this monster lol, and i couldnt get a dangler because it would literally dangle the ground HAHA, its going to look like a 3rd leg hanging off my side :D

One word WW, Baldric.

I really want to see your custom that you are getting modeled on that short sword that we were drooling over.

One of the nice aesthetic touches of the Dragonfly is how all the spine curves mesh almost perfectly with the handle when it's closed. It does look a bit odd, but the design is fantastically functional for a tiny knife. My impression of the Native-5 is that the blade shape is similar (a bit bigger), but the handle and pivot point are different.

HAHA, its going to look like a 3rd leg hanging off my side :D

Oh, this one's definitely a candidate to be slung on your back.

OK, flickr keeps failing to upload these 2 pics, specifically. Maybe it's afraid. This one is for all y'all's inner mall ninja. I don't know why, but I've been looking at this particular blade for more than a year, before I found the BK9 and this community. I'll most likely never use it for it's intended purpose, but at least I know I could if I had to.....that is of course if I had the sack to carry it around. 'Course if I did, it'd be like a challenge to every punk spoiling for a fight, I think. But I bought it anyway, even if I decide to pass it on:

its going to look like a 3rd leg hanging off my side
...or a fourth leg ;)...
