I have some diminished hearing--partly genetic, partly because of an ear drum rupture when I was a kid--so I'm hanging onto what I have left. i got a few of those tactical specops cloth tubes... they protect the head from the helmet, and keep the dust off me... and sometimes i also wear it for the dust.

basement? i got a fan/filter and a mask combo for now, along with good basic dust collection. will IMMEDIATELY upgrade that crap when i work more.

eyes? wear the stuff.

ear? anything from splitting wood these days to airgun and on up. wear the damn protection. tell myself that all the time. hearing loss is cumulative folx. you will lose it. it's guaranteed.

gloves. yeah, esp with anti-crush zones and armor. worth it.

chainsaw stuff? yah. i'm going to be buying the forest suit soon.
 
Thanks guys. Got partially drunk, and had family over. They just left. Had a good time. Wife got me a Hill People Gear Tarahumara in foliage. I can tell I'm gonna love this pack.
 
I think I'm getting one of these for Christmas. Butt ass ugly, and 420 SS, but there's something about it that appeals to me.

Hoppe's No. 9 Solvent is surely one of the best smells of the modern era. I might start wearing it as cologne.

I'm sitting out by the fire. Another beautiful night. Not drinking but now that everyone is asleep I'm enjoying a smoke.

I'm decorating my privacy fence panels with tin signs, vintage, funny, alcohol related, military... ECT. But I got one in today that is made of wood.... Made to sit on a shelf... The description clearly states that too but I didn't read it because it was mixed in with signs...

Anyway it says.... Alcohol... Because no great story ever started with someone eating a salad!

Ha! But now I still need 12 more signs to finish the rest of the panels. I put the wood one in the shop.
 
Are people becoming more inconsiderate across the country or is it just Washington? I swear people are in their own little bubble world most of the time.

Pretty sure it goes beyond Washington. I blame Facebook - among other things.
