All my smells were cancer free! What did I win?

The tip usually ends up in the soup...good save!

Ha! I try everyday to get my tip in some soup!

My father picked up 1800 rounds of mini mags a couple weeks ago, i could only pry 600 from him though lol

The local gun shops have better selection than any chain store... I can always get 22... Just not always Cci or wolf...

On another note... I'm going down to test drive the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma tomorrow.... Might bring it home if they don't insult my intelligence.

I like the new body style for 2016... Really I like the truck a whole lot...BUT... It's a 4 cylinder though... I can't afford the 6 cylinder model....

Was going with the Chevy Colorado at first.... But just getting that one in auto tranny was an extra 5 grand or some crap. And it would still be 4 cylinder too... They wanted close to 30 for the auto 6 cylinder, but barely over 20 for manual 4 cylinder.. I'd go with the diesel model if I could handle 30k LOL

New truck at 20000, not lots of options.... I don't have to tow anything more than a couple kayaks or a quad... The 4 cylinder should handle that fine... Just depends if it drives OK really..

Congrads on the move Psyop, can't wait to see some pics......

As far as me, well I finall shut up and just bought one of these Monday, been eyeing them for a couple of years. Leather work as far as trying to keep up with making my sheaths was getting unmanageable........

The Tippmann Boss leather stitcher.

I'm gonna get used to it and do a review and add a sheath/leather working thread on my sub forum once I get the hang of this thing, so far I think im going to like it.

Todd, congrats on the new mo-sheen. I've often said you could make a living as a leather bender if need be. Your sheaths are that good.
When I shot that little buck a couple of weeks back, I showed my buddy the knife I used to field dress it. He was as impressed by the sheath as he was the knife.

WW, shy not just find a good used pickup? Then you can get everything you want for much cheaper. Around here you can buy mid 2,000s half tons 4x4s well under 20 grand.

I was gonna say the same...never buy brand new...ever...
Unless you just have the money,
Save a ton and get something low mileage. I know sometimes you gotta scratch yer head when you see used price vs new...but that's just a dealer trying to rip you off or trying to make folks just buy new.

Enough patience and research you'll click with the right thing.

It only took me 2 years to find the right Jeep lol...

I have never bought a new vehicle.... Want to at least once lol

Really though, I have to finance either way, and I have good financing already approved that allows new or used as long as it's under 100k miles... So I looked at used first. But I also want a good warranty...

When it was all said and done a used truck with 60k miles cost about as much as a brand new, albeit smaller, truck., to actually have a noticeably smaller payment, and still get a truck.... Well i could... But it won't be anything nice lol

I don't want a large truck either... Mid sized is what I want... But I'd prefer 6cyl... Hell I'd prefer 4x4 too but I'll likely settle lol

Basically... If i have to make payments... I'd rather it be brand new. Something i like looking at lol... Plus Tacoma has one of the highest resale value out of any vehicle period... If-when I can afford a bigger truck this one will make a better trade than a beat up FORD :D

Whatever works for you bud! Unlove my Tundra and I know tacos have a huge following, so I don't think you can go wrong with one.

I'm getting the itch to do some fishing , but unseasonably warm weather has killed what little ice we had. The whole lake is usually froze over before December, but most of it is still open now. It was actually in the 50s yesterday and rained last night!! I'm gonna work on an idea to store jigging spoons today, to occupy a bit of time. I have them loose in Plano boxes now, but that beats the paint up, so I'm gonna try keep them separated.

Yeah, the numbers add up for sure. We got our 2012 Camry with 12k for about 10k less than the 2013 and its fully loaded. I'll tell ya that 4cyl in that little sedan can get up. Maybe not so much in a truck but I feel ur pain. That was one absolute no compromise for my Jeep, it was 6cyl or nothing...that's why it took so long lol. They hold value too which is good but hard when you're buying. I've had it about 6 mos and still see worse for the same or more money. And I got it from a dealership.

What really got me dead set on the motor was this...
Nobody ever got the 6cyl and wished they had the 4cyl...

Like you said, you're dumping a shit ton of money so you may as well spend what you need to get it right or you're stuck with a shit slightly less than a ton of money truck you're not happy with.

So, yeah, its a lot to weigh and compromise, give and take, and for me it was a one time deal, I'm keeping it forever so I wanted the basics perfect, and the other (hard top, doors, etc) can be added later.

Looks like I'm having a "no good deed goes unpunished" moment.

I was walked by the garbage bins outside my office and noticed that a bag had fallen out of one of them when the garbage truck came by. I thought, "I'll be helpful" and picked up the bag one handed and swung it over into the bin. It was a big enough bag that it didn't go readily in a sat about half-in and half-out of the bin. Knowing that I didn't want to know what all was in or on that garbage bag or get any more of it on me than I already did by picking it up, I decided I'd give it a little love tap with my boot to make it fall all the way in. When I did, a nasty, dark fluid came out, and stained the toe of my pretty, clean boots. :( Went to the bathroom to try and rinse it off or wipe it away with paper towels. The water did nothing. It almost beaded up on my boots. The paper towels just left little pieces of themselves behind.

I guess that's what I get for buying boots that aren't thoroughly sealed. I'm going to scrub on them tonight and see if I can get it fixed or maybe just figure out something to rub into the rest of the leather to make it more uniformly dark.

edit: Ok. That was pretty whiny. Back to the good smells and finger cutting off competition.

All good boots need to be a bit dirty, though toxic garbage sludge isn't the preferred method of staining. Try some cow poo next time. :D ;) How you get it cleaned out somehow. :)

Cow poo would have been preferred over toxic garbage sludge for sure.

I always just use a little saddle soap on my boots

Edit:and on the topic of trucks, when I got my license we bought a 1990 dodge dakota, 6cyl. camper shell, and around 150000 on it, for only $1500, Its a great little truck. the only stuff we've done to it other than regular maintenance is replace the radiator

So a buddy of mine is pissed off because the place he works just came out with a policy for zero tolerance if any one is caught with a gun or a knife of any kind on the property. Hes as much as a prepper as he ca be, and taking his gun or knife for that matter makes him very uncomfortable. He doesn't feel (and I don't blame him)-that he should have to give up his right to defend himself if need be, he said he can halfway understand the on property gun rule, but the last draw was taking his knife. Even making his old Case knife his Grandpa gave him grounds to lose his job....... So, he came to me. Ironically with a handful of scrap materials from stuff his company produces....... I machined him a big handful of F!#K U! Gonna make a kydex carrier for it tomorrow..

If the uber-shank upsets the higher-ups, he should say it's a sexual device aligned with his lifestyle. Firing him for such would be a violation of civil rights.
