Definitely. Personally, I thought the remake sucked.True Grit, the original John Wayne version shot in 1969. I'm convinced this version is better than the Jeff Bridges remake.

40 year old virgin  and some rum
I'm about as big if a John Wayne fan as it gets, and while I love his version, I do prefer the newer one, for two reasons, it follows the book more and I can't stand Kim Darby(Mattie Ross)So I'm easing out of the Christmas day with a glass of Crown Royal on the rocks, layed back in my bedroom watching True Grit, the original John Wayne version shot in 1969. I'm convinced this version is better than the Jeff Bridges remake.

What's his rum of choice?![]()
I'll bet that's a splitter out of this world Dubz. I got a Silky Gomboy 240. Went out and sawed up a couple of maple limbs and the reviews are right.

It looks like a tornado went through my home.
Maybe if i keep acting like im still sleeping it will magically clean itself.
Crossing the southern border into the Peoples Republic is worse than NY state...I practically have to turn the truck upside down and shake it when I do a show in Ma. (Which in very rarely-)I end up in Mass a lot for work, and tho NH has no carry restrictions, MA certainly does. I've still been carrying an auto, tho - a scale release HK Scorch. You can just open it with the thumbstud like a regular folder and since there's no button, no one would even know it's an auto. Half the people I've shown it to still can't actuate it even after I show them how.
I just picked up an Asian knock off of a MT OTF for $20. Double edged. Wouldn't cut a fart when I got it; took a bit of time with the Worksharp and at least now it's a knife instead of a blunt metal toy. Still surprising how crisp the action is for something so cheap....
lol! I thought the same thing.....It didn't work yet
Gus and Triggs inspired me to pick up a Helinox camp chair finally. Should be about perfect for kayak overnighters.

Packs down to nearly nothing for a kayak hold.

Going to add the PVC skids for river sandbars.

Great purchase. They had sent me one to review a few years ago. Loved it. As soon as it became available, I went out and bought one for Triggs. I like that skid mod. Will have to rig that up when I get home.
Got my Roselli. Really cool little axe.
Next to the BK9 for size reference:

Looking forward to using it. I opted for the 18" handle model, that's considered the axe. The 14" model is considered the hatchet, with the same head. $2 more for the 18" inch handle seemed the way to go. I can always choke up 4 inches if I need to, haha.

Now that is a slick idea. Kay and I tried some out a year or so ago and they would sink easily in the soft ground so we passed. That solves the problem. Might have to snag a couple now.
Get up everybody, go play with your new sharp things!
