Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. This one was a very memorable one for us. For a lot of reasons lol. But it was great to spend time with the family and the kids had an amazing time. Made out with some Harley Boots, new moto x2 and case, clothes, oh... And a brand new AK63D Under folder, a dozen mags, new wood forend and grip, mag pouch, surefire taclight on rail, and about 700 RDS of ammo... I'll have to take some pics but I was a little shocked by that one. Surprise from my brother in law just because I liked his under folder so much... Lol I've got a great family, stuff aside this was one of the most stressless and fun holidays of recent. Wish y'all the best.
 
Speaking of tomahawks, finally found a source for 30" CS warhammer handles. The handles are exactly the same as the 22" tomahawk handles, just longer.
 
Tried out a couple of new rod/reel combos. Caught one decent sized skipjack and that was it. No trout biting.

Kids had fun playing in the rip-rap and finding "treasure."

Saw that a couple days ago. Seems like a good way to terrorize cats if you could build a forearm mounted launcher for shooting them. Maybe with a little piezo heater coil.....

Well wishes for your GF's brother. Health problems are never easy, but boy, this time of year just seems to....accentuate them. Well wishes for your GF, too. Being family is the second hardest job in that situation.
 
I stopped by the local Cabelas on the way home from my mom's house on Friday. There were a lot of people combing over the cheap knife racks (Gerber etc.) - I kept my lecture in check. The fancy counter (under glass) had some interesting things. The Spydie military is an enormous knife, and absurdly priced there. Interestingly, they carried a bunch of the Case line. The full-size Sodbuster is HUGE! holy moly. Glad I got the small one. Got out of there spending only time and no dollars. A good visit in my book.
 
I have a hard time just shmying when it comes to knives....there always seems to be at least one that is reasonably priced and....and other rationalizations.......dang knife dealers....

That's how a Thermite landed in my pocket. Stopped to look for some archery stuff for Christmas, thought "what's the harm in looking? they won't have anything reasonably priced...." and then I saw a whole bunch of them on sale, including that stoopid Thermite for $25 (actually 24.95 + 0% tax, so, yah) and that was it. Like a junkie being offered the needle. I might try and do a mod or two...it's a lot nicer than any $25 knife has a right to be, but the scale could benefit from a color other than black.
