Snark Yurty to me

Tried to post this last night....

GSOM, I am really in a pale ale binge right now, not IPA just pale ale, every one I can find. Gose beers are hit-or-miss right now, I must just not eat the right foods to drink IPAs or sours regularly.

I find most light-colored ales or lagers to be perfect just about anytime I need a beer, the darker ales are usually drunk without food because they have too much flavor to pair well with most food.

CB, Red Hook is everywhere here, but I have yet to try it. Brewed locally if I remember correctly.

Red Hook is definitely local to you. Also to me, as Portsmouth, NH has the other Red Hook....ours is currently contract brewing for Kona Brewing Company (and a couple others I don't remember ATM). As for cost, our local grocery store chain has something awesome on sale nearly every week for $11.99 (or less!)/12 pack. This week that would be Lagunitas, Harpoon, Shipyard & Sam Adams 12-packs - with Long Trail 12's for $10.99. It is super inexpensive to be a beer enjoyer in this town. Add to that top notch micro (& macro) brewpubs, a taphouse with ~120 beers on tap and a beverage store that sells, on occasion, Ballantine IPA for $12/case.......and it's a wonder anybody gets anything done in this town.

Oh...yeah - I forgot: Founder's Dark Penance is extraterrestrially imbued...

All this beer talk, and I'm over here like

Happy Sunday!

Pffff... So I live in this street that's usually quite calm. 2 months or so ago they started working at the main street that's a few hundred metres behind our house, so traffic is being diverted differently. Even though it's not being diverted through our street, drivers that know the area often use our street anyway since it really is the best short cut. This results in heavy traffic like trucks, busses,... And a lot more traffic in general passing by. They don't tend to drive according to the speed limit either. Two months ago, one of our cats was the victim of this rerouting of traffic. Last month the cat of our neighbours was found dead, and this morning one of our other cats was found ran over as well. Two in two months, that's a bit much. My mom is devastated and I can't really say how I feel other than angry. Sucks...

Hey guys. Long time no see. Is anyone who remembers me still here?

I finished my apprenticeship, started working in the same company and now I've quit my job to go to university to get a bachelor's degree in engineering.

I got myself a BK14 5 years ago when I was starting my apprenticeship - now I need to continue the tradition and dig out my old BK11 and make it pretty.

Expect a thread, it's gonna be a WIP. Full convex, changing the blade shape slightly, stripping all the coating off and giving it some scales and a kydex sheath.

Happy to be back!

Hey meat, I remember ya as I'm sure many others do as well. Good to see you back buddy.

12 hours 38 minutes?

Has everyone suddenly become responsible and all?

Come on people. You can do better.

Probably trying to find the last available guns in our respective states before you buy them.

My alter ego must be out getting into trouble. The court sent my fine to collections, but nobody told me that I had a citation to begin with....
...whiskey tango....
I guess it's time to play 20 questions over the phone tomorrow.

I borrowed your car and I blew a red light on my way to buy another gun.

I need to find a peanut butter stout that isn't sweet. I miss big gruesome beer.

Not a fan of IPAs really... Well I'll drink them if that's what's available but I'll also drink bud light if it's what's available... FREE beer is good beer... As far as going and buying it... Not so much.

Leaf springs squeaking on my truck... 9100 miles.... Took it to dealership under warranty and they lubed the springs... Less than 48 hours later back squeaking... Setting up another appointment and asking them to do more than spray them with lube.

Currently saving for new shocks, coils, light racing upper control arms, 3 leaf AAL pack and such... Gunna lift it 3" to fit some 285s under her.

Plan to silence the springs with rubber inserts while doing the lift but that's still a few months away so I'll let the stealership try and stop the squeak for now...

They asked me... Do you drive this thing through rivers?

Naturally i was hesitant to answer, and instead of telling the service guy one of several "watch this" moments i just said no. And then explained the road i live on and the flooding we had....

But in the back of my mind i was thinking... Damn. Maybe i shouldn't of chased that catfish down the creek... Yea... Then maybe he shouldn't of winked at me either.
