Snark Yurty to me

Took a trip the last half of last week up to SW Michigan. The weather was awesome and the pup was very well behaved out in public. She somehow ended up with at least a random piece of bacon from someone on the wait staff at almost every restaurant we ate at.

We played hookie yesterday for my wife's birthday. We decided to visit a nearby state park for a bit of hiking and stopped in at one of my favorite breweries. Sure enough, the waitress brought out bacon for the pup almost every time she came out to check on us! What gives... I want free bacon too!

If you were as cute as your pup, you'd probably get free bacon too.

I'm an idiot. A week or so ago, I was out back and was messing around with some knives and other tools. It's rained a couple times since then, and I just went back out there to and look down and what do I see, my H&b Shawnee hawk sitting on the ground covered in surface trust. I can't believe I left it out there. Luckily it didn't take a lot of work to clean it up.

At least you have the excuse of leaving it out in the rain. I left a bunch of my throwing knives on a table in the middle of a 30 x 40 shed and they rusted due to the moisture content of the air. Never even needed to get wet. But that's A36 for you. It will rust if you drink a glass of water.

Jerry, was that Sunday? If so, we was with the kids and Sophie right around the corner at the pizza joint.

Glad it cleaned up for ya.
I've wanted an H&B for awhile now.
They look excellent and I only hear good reviews about them.
Does it throw pretty good?

I've only thrown it a handful of times due to a lack of a proper target, however the few times I did throw it it seemed well balanced and stuck pretty consistently

I was expecting a better head/haft fit on mine. Had to do a bit of fitting and now I have to re stain the handle. Still better than a Cold Steel. Condor has a couple hawks now.

I LOL'd at the "size (reference) shot".....I'm still chuckling - I know that we've never met in real life, but the legendary size of your hands has preceded you for years.....but seriously. In your hand, that light looks like it takes a AAAAA battery. Dayum. Looks like it'd be a cool little light.
If I could find batteries that small ;).

you missed a perfect opportunity -- a little bit of light machine oil and a well worn scotch brite pad and you would have had a good start on a "rust blue" finish.

It actually takes six D-cell batteries. :D

Haha :D It's funny, my fingers are actually quite slim, but my hand is wide. My right hand is wider than my left. I guess I need to start using the other hand... ;)

Lame!! Sorry to hear that mang.
I was racking my brain trying to figure this out all night.

I borrowed your car and I blew a red light on my way to buy another gun.

:D THAT makes a lot of sense! I hope you found a good one!

Actually after a mere 45 minutes on hold, the clerk said they had a grip of old cases get turned over by the court to collections. (How old, I wondered.)
