Not sure who's following the Shark Week series, but my friend Chris Swanda is in these promo vids.

While it's hard to see, he's rocking a BK 16 (and an BK 11 in the Dude You're Screwed series) thanks to KA-BAR.

ASUS customer service officially blows chunks. They're a bunch of despicable sleazes. BBB report filed; I am contemplating filing a lawsuit.

Maybe start a claim with the State Attorney General?
My wife did one time when our auto insurance tried to pull some sleezy maneuvers.
Needless to say, once the Attorney Generals office got in contact with our insurance, they bent over backward to make sure we were happy. And in the end we were.
But it really does suck when individuals have to force a company to do the right thing.
A little bit of good customer service goes a long way with me.
Hope it all works out CF.

One thing that I find great humor in, (for lack of better term) is Seymour Indiana (where I live) is pretty conveniently located as far as anyone traveling I-65 is concerned. You pretty much are only a mile from my place as far as the crow flies if your ever on that stretch of road. Anyway, I've had a lot of Beckerheads/friends/customers stop by during there travels. Tonight, our very own Silverthorn came by with his lovely wife and adorable daughter. We drank a few beers, Murph gave him a tour of our massive 22X22 facility while I made us all brats and burgers on the grill. We ate, the kids played and the evening ran out before we were done with our visit unfortunately. Love it when friends you don't get to see so often have a chance to come hang out, just hope next time they can stay longer. It was a pleasure having you Thorny, as we discussed earlier, come back Sunday, but expect to have your ass put to work! :D

Thanks for the good wishes guys. I'm actually the diplomatic one in my family, as far as that goes. So I'm on my own for this. It's made my temper rather shorter than usual though.

Grats on gold, rkmoore.

Trade, hope you get it sorted out quickly. My credit company usually just sorts it out for me. If it will take months to sort it out, maybe best to switch companies.

So tonight a fuse went out and the lights went off in the bathroom.. So i set the Fenix PD35 up and it lit the bathroom up great so everyone could take their showers and brush their teeth and stuff....

But because of the tail switch design the flashlight can not stand up on its tail end... But i found a small bottle cap that the light fit in and held it standing up just fine... But i started thinking... It wouldnt be too difficult with the right machines to make a small metal cap that would support the light standing up... could even add a strong magnet in it to be able to place the light horizontal on a metal surface facing out....

Bet they would sell pretty good too.... Man if i had a full fledged machine shop id be making all types of crap... Im always thinking up something LOL

My VISA got hacked this morning. I made 26 transactions simultaneously at 6:09 AM. It will take months to straighten it out. Fun. :D

In other news, I have 25 stoves and a snow-cone machine on the way. No connection whatsoever.

A couple weeks back my daughter bought herself a snow cone maker with money she saved up... But it was a hand crank one.... And she couldnt operate it very well so she asked mommy to help her... Mommy called me in to crank it... After about 5 minutes and 1 small cup of half shaved ice we got online and ordered her an electric one with the stipulation she never asks us to crank the other one again LOL

WW & CF - Thanks for the recognition on Gold.

And as far as the sno cone maker goes it sounds like a win win!
But you better watch out she may have you buy her a car soon and explain how it's really just doing mom a favor. My 15 y/o daughter is currently working that angle.

Guyon - I got dibs on the first Bacardi and Coke sno cone! ..... Jack and Coke will work too.....:D

LMAO, my daughter is 8... If she asks for a car she will be sorely disappointed as she is laughed out of the room :D

Happy Thirstday everyone.

How is Miss Angie doing, by the way?

She's hanging in there. MRI the other day and a consultation next week. It will be a while before we know what needs to be done. Naturally, we're hoping it doesn't require surgery.

Sucks to hear about your visa Trade. That junk is never fun to deal with. Did they at the least order anything cool in those 26 transactions?

Welcome back to gold RK!

Happy thoughts for Miss Angie JT!

Well tell Mrs.T that we're all hoping for the best.

Smoke and prayers coming your way.

I don't know if your daughter trying to get a car is too bad a thing my 15 doesn't even want her license because as she says we can take her where she needs to go or better yet just bring her the stuff she tells us she wants
Sadder thing she has girlfriends 17 with no license either why pay for a car & insurance when they can always get a ride from any boy they call this is actually their philosophy.

No connection at all, I'm positive! You had my 5 stoves in that order right? We talked about jump starting my stove addiction, yes? :D

I don't think you need a full machine shop, sounds like some files and a drill press is all you need.

You realize she played you like a fiddle right? :D not that there is anything wrong with that, just it happened.

I have one worse (and one better) I have a buddy, 23 years old, got rid of his car and let his license expire because driving was too difficult he was just gonna catch rides from his mother. On the flip side, one of my coworker's daughter, is 15 just got her permit and WITH HER OWN MONEY FROM WORK bought herself a car.
