Liar. No Englishman loves tortillas and hot sauce as much as you.
All his love of tortillas and hot sauce proves is that Derek has a refined palate.

Paid off my truck today.
Paid off my truck today.
The first time I went Down Under (2001) was by slow boat across the Indian Ocean. Seychelles to Fremantle at 11 knots. Sixteen days, looking at the cruise report online. It was mostly transit, but we touched off the airguns every couple days to calibrate listening stations around the rim.
I was actually kidding about water polo...though I have played it when I was young. Craploads more difficult than people think. I actually don't watch all sports equally....except maybe bicycle racing, which I have followed at times. Now, I got better things to do...like drinking and filing knives. Still, I'd prolly go see a cricket match if I was somewhere where people got excited about that sort of thing. Safer than a football (soccer) match, I imagine. Sorry to hear about the death of Richie Benaud, tho. NPR (which is a great way to kind of visit the world when one is stuck in Boston traffic) had a piece about him a couple months ago. Interesting guy.
Definitely a nice pair there Jerry!
Congrats on the truck!
Daiz, you have such a cool sounding job. Every time I read something here about what you did on any particular day I think to myself "wow this guy has such an awesome job. Whatever it is.."
There are some amazingly generous people still around i tell ya what. Looks like that buckeye burl vape i talked about a week ago or so is already finished and shipped my way. I had the wood sent directly to the company who makes them to save on shipping, I let them know it would take me a while to pay but they were fine holding it until i had the extra money...Then some anonymous person paid for it, all of it. Couple hundred bucks. Dont have the slightest idea who, or even why.... But im grateful as hell i know that!!
he's a pirate!! Duh!
 that's awesome! some smoke and happy thoughts for that person fo sho.

CONGRATS!!!! That is an awesome feeling!
Congrats on the truck!
Thanks!Congrats indeed.
She's still doing great despite having a decent amount of miles. I'll probably keep her until she starts to fall apart, put her back together and have another round at it. I bought it when I had no business financing a vehicle, but as I got lucky and landed a better job I decided to knock the loan out a few years ahead of schedule.Good deal. Do yourself a favor and keep it that way.
Quoted for truth.Definitely a nice pair there Jerry!
Pretty much....Giggity.
Fun stuff, Gus! I look forward to seeing the progress.Been some time since I last posted, so I thought I'd let folks know what we have been doing. We bought a house in Hamilton and took possession on June 1. Since then, my friend Nate (some of you met him at the last Gathering) and I have been building a new climbing training space. And after over three weeks of 12-hour work days, we're almost done. We've been taking pics of the process and I'll post them in a new thread in the next few days. I'm exhausted.
I have an urge to buy the biggest CSA Battle Flag I can find and put it where everyone who drives by can see it.
