It's right at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and I should be asleep. Gotta be back up in about 6 hours. :eek:

I forgot just how far around the world Australia is from here. It sure is a big planet.

Yeah you're not kidding bro. 14hrs by plane direct to LA from here. Better than the 25hrs it took to get to Europe though!. I had night shift last night so I only got up about 2hrs ago *cough* you lazy butthole Springy *cough*

However, you've been here less than a month.
The moderators of the Becker subforum, put together, have been at BFC for decades, and yes, the conversation in question has gone south more times than we can remember.
In accordance with BFC posting policies, we have suggested that politically oriented posts go in Politics. That's not overreach; those are rules of the forum writ large.
Overreach would have been immediate warnings and infractions. No one has gone that route.
We're not going to continue to debate this matter ad nauseum, however.
 
I have done 14 hrs by plane... NOT fun. Never again if i can help it.

I want to visit Australia so so BAD. I have buddies there id love to visit. I could likely find a free couch to sleep on and all.... BUT the plane ride... Thats the biggest issue. Im waiting for a high speed direct cruise type ship thats cost efficient, at least as cost efficient as flying is/not LOL

For a while i thought my felony would exclude me like it does going to Canada. But from what i read i think i may still be OK to go to Australia... One day i hope.




Its going on 3am.... My son is sitting up watching TV still... didnt even look tired several minutes ago when he asked me to find a movie for him... Im chatting online with a buddy and all of a sudden i hear a BOOM... Look over and my son fell out his seat and is giving Neko the stink eye, and says "dang neko"... Like he really believed Neko knocked him out the chair.

You had to be here... It was priceless. Im not sure how he fell out of his seat... But i do know Neko was a few feet away when it happened. I got a good laugh from it though.

Its not a spectacular trip that's for sure but man I sure would love to see the ship that could get you here in under a day. That thing would look crazy! Imagine doing 600 mile an hour in 30ft seas! I reckon half the time you would be flying!

Mate I was literally laughing my bungholio off reading what just happened to your son! That's gold! Neko's probably sitting there thinking "mate if you're going to blame me, then next time I WILL make you fall off your seat!". Kids crack me up when they're asleep. They do some funny stuff..

I wouldnt mind if it took 2-3 days over flying really. Wouldnt want it to take a week or more though.

And kids are awesome. Well at this age its 50% awesome, 50% aggravating... And that varies greatly depending on many factors LOL

I havent lived an exceptionally great life... But I am doing my best to make up for it and stay out of trouble now. But I do have a felony for a gun charge, but i wasnt sentenced to prison time. I bailed out after a week and i pleaded to 5 years probation when i went to court.. 5 years ago... And i wasnt robbing anyone or anything like that either. I was the one robbed, then i went home, got my gun, and went back for my money and pride... I was wrong i know that, i snapped.. I did get charged with assault as well but that charge was dropped... Only thing it says on my record now is "Violation of Uniform Firearm Act"

I have been to jail a few other times, but nothing stayed on my record, and it was nothing involving stealing, nothing involving drugs or sexual acts or anything like that, just drunk fights and crap.

So i dunno, i guess it would be up to the "Minister" or something. I talked to a guy a while back who said he visited with a felony that was 7 or 8 years old.. But i cant even remember what his was for now.
 
The Ashes, good sir, shall be returned to where they belong. And mind who you call a POM, lest the Bladite be unleashed in a similar fashion to the Kracken! (Or even worse, Gibbsy!) ;)

To be perfectly honest bud from what I read, I don't think you'd have any terrible issue getting in, you'd just have to declare your past. Hope you can make it here one day mate..

ROFL! I can totally see that happening to my boys! They just don't want to sleep until they are ready to pass right out. That's awesome!

My daughter on the other hand... if I didn't know better would be a narcoleptic. The places and positions we've found her sleeping are hilarious. The first time it happened while I was watching her was pretty good. I hear snoring coming from the corner of the room. I look over my lap top and can't see a thing. I had to get up and go looking for her... in the same room. I found this:

Shes passed right out in her dolly's play pen. :D I had to snap the photo before moving her to her bed lol. I have a great collection of pictures of her where she just decides to take a nap standing up leaning on stuff lol. Kids = Awesome.

OK, I am about to go on the earliest bike ride I've been on in a long while so I can be home before the apocalypse hits. Oh....and: Boomslang. I really need to keep my nose out of the exchange.
 
Mornin' Mike.. Haha yeah I know. Sorry bout that. I get a little carried away come cricket season.. I tried playing Water Polo once. Got a crazy cramp in my foot. Then my hot teammate gave me a massage. We hooked up that night. She was such a rig. I like Water Polo.

My family has held the same seat in the North of England since before William did all that nasty business a thousand years ago. Alas, I only lived there for a few years when my father was in the Air Force. Don't actually watch much cricket, but the story behind it is IMO absolutely brilliant. Its funny though, I did find myself fighting the urge to call you a "convict" earlier... ;)

Don't fight it. We're all convicts as far the Brits are concerned. We normally just get called "..you bloody Wallabies!". Oddly enough, the MacGilivrays (my clan) territory bordered the Wallace clan in North east Scotland. So no matter which way you look at it, the Poms hate me :D

The first time I went Down Under (2001) was by slow boat across the Indian Ocean. Seychelles to Fremantle at 11 knots. Sixteen days, looking at the cruise report online. It was mostly transit, but we touched off the airguns every couple days to calibrate listening stations around the rim.

I was actually kidding about water polo...though I have played it when I was young. Craploads more difficult than people think. I actually don't watch all sports equally....except maybe bicycle racing, which I have followed at times. Now, I got better things to do...like drinking and filing knives. Still, I'd prolly go see a cricket match if I was somewhere where people got excited about that sort of thing. Safer than a football (soccer) match, I imagine. Sorry to hear about the death of Richie Benaud, tho. NPR (which is a great way to kind of visit the world when one is stuck in Boston traffic) had a piece about him a couple months ago. Interesting guy.
