Dubz, sorry to hear about the moms. Smoke and prayers going up for her!
WW, that sounds suspiciously like my parent's house. It was "fixed" JUUUUUUUSSSSSSTTTTTT enough that they could sell it. So stuff is constantly breaking and getting fixed, more or less, correctly.
Spent today at the zoo with the nieces and family... Right up until we found out there, is about to be, a death in the family. One of the brother-in-laws was busted cheating on his wife... And left her it seems. At that point the zoo seemed, moot. Since then I was tasked with reconnaissance on her. So far, public records are AMAZING! Found out a TON of info, actually I think it could be considered a SCARY amount.
The saddest part, the "new chick" isn't even all that cute!
In better news, I got the job offer on Friday. Less per hour but more hours overall, in addition to getting health insurance, a matched 401k, life insurance, and my hands are insured as well. It's actually going to be making me about double what I have made as an independent contractor but it's also about 4 times as much work. I also lose a LOT of freedom that I've had (about work schedule) however I only need to keep it for a year and I will be able to get out of here, although if I stay for 2-4 years I will be able to pay cash for a house in Springfield, and not have a house payment at all which is kind of... REALLY tempting. Also took 1st place at the chili cook-off yesterday. Made MacLeid's Rockcastle Chili with cheesy grits.
Actually had grits left over so took them home, rolled them, and tucked them into the freezer. Then this morning for breakfast I made some bacon and then fried the cheesy grits discs in SOME of the bacon fat, poured some hot sauce and maple syrup on top... OH GOOD HEAVENS!
