Have to get cleaned up and head to the hospital. Mother woke up yesterday morning with the shakes, and just didn't feel good. She got in the shower, and noticed a red spot on her breast. Went to urgent care, and it's some sort of infection. They admitted her in the hospital yesterday, and are keeping her again overnight.

Damn Dubz, that doesn't sound good. Do the doctors have anything at all to tell you as far as what they think it may be? Sure hope she comes home soon. We'll keep her in our prayers.

Just talked to my sister. She told me not to come tonight, that mom was sleeping. Guess I'll go tomorrow night. They have her on two kinds of antibiotics. Apparently she has Cellulitis. Here's the definition:

Cellulitis (sel-u-LI-tis) is a common, potentially serious bacterial skin infection. Cellulitis appears as a swollen, red area of skin that feels hot and tender, and it may spread rapidly.

Skin on lower legs is most commonly affected, though cellulitis can occur anywhere on your body or face. Cellulitis may affect only your skin's surface, or cellulitis may also affect tissues underlying your skin and can spread to your lymph nodes and bloodstream.

Left untreated, the spreading infection may rapidly turn life-threatening. That's why it's important to seek immediate medical attention if cellulitis symptoms occur.

If it makes you (or him) feel any better, when I was a child I was so unpopular my Mom had to tie a pork chop around my neck to get the neighborhood stray dogs to play with me. :D

Hopefully she caught it early enough that it won't be a major issue. You all will be in my thoughts.
 
Hope your mom pulls out of that Dubz. They've got some stout bug killers these days.
