Thought I'd drop this in here before I take a nap and rest for my 9 hour drive tonight to Beckerwest.

dang...15 y.o. and both arms in casts for 6 weeks...no porn for you, young man!

I donno at 15 I would of gotten lots of help with that. Chicks dig guys in casts

I too remember the days when smokes were $2.50.... I made a fair bit of cash selling them in highschool for a buck a pop :D

I remember when 10 bucks got you a dominoes pizza, a pack of smokes, and a 2 liter of coke, delivered. I bought reds from a vending machine at the bowling alley for 75 a pack, and that was robbery high, because it was a vending machine.

lol I remember my first trip south of the border... I saw a vending machine with smokes for $1. It blew my mind

This was over 20 years ago heh

I told my father about the increase in cigarette price and he said he remembers being pissed off when they RAISED the price to 50 cent from 35 cents a pack LMAO!!

They didnt increase 2 dollars a pack for the entire PA, just Philadelphia. So there are already lots of people taking trips out the city bringing a couple cartons back.

In the stores here you can buy a loosie, or single cigarette for those unfamiliar with the term. I never seen that until i came to Philly but i hear its common in NYC as well. They went from 50 cents up to 75 cents a piece here when the price increased. Its not technically legal for the stores to sell them this way though, so its only the mom and pop stores or Chinese restaurants that do it.

Sweet sheath 710! I love how you finish your leatherwork.

My wife brought home fried chicken, fried okra, and mash taters and gravy and honey biscuits. YUMMY!!!!

Substitute the mashed taters for collard greens and thats what id chose as a last meal LOL

So about that rash. I didn't drink any milk today but I did everything the same, and no rash, so I'm guessing that it was the milk. Tomorrow I'm going to try milk to be sure. Thanks for all of the input and advice, guys!

Been at work since 7am. Busy day. Almost done. Yee haw.

That's really strange, MM. All food allergies I've seen present within a few minutes, seldom more than 15 or so.

If it turns out to be the milk, your options (other than cease drinking milk all together) would be to try goat's milk or almond milk. Many kids who can't tolerate cow's milk have no problems with goat's milk.

I've been on almond milk for nearly 2 years and one of the positive side effects (or lack of side effects) of the almond milk is that I seldom have bouts of extreme flatulence now. Apparently I have had a slight lactose intolerance issue for years.

No pictures?!

You know you can't talk food here without pictures!!!

Case in point:
This was tonight's "Fat guy Foodgasm" as I'm calling it. I was also thinking of calling this dish my "Ode to being a carnivore" but I'm not sure which now to call it.

Bacon Cheddar burgers, topped with sharp cheddar, an onion ring, chili (left over from the chili cook-off), a fried egg, and pepper jack cheese.

I'm guessing drugs were a factor... you never know though, some people just really are that dumb.

Possible, but he probably would have recognized that. He told me that story after I told him about a video I saw of the exact same thing somewhere else. Guy tried to rob a store with a knife while a uniformed cop was standing next to him waiting to pay for his coffee.

He also told me where the whole cops-love-doughnuts things came from. Back in the day hardly anything was open 24hrs so if you were on the night shift you didn't have many options for where to get a coffee fix. Turns out a lot of doughnut shops were open 24 hours for some reason, maybe to cater to cops, I dunno. (as JT pointed out, being friendly to LE has it's advantages) So the late night and early morning cops would frequent doughnut shops for coffee because they were open. The town I was born in has had a 24hour doughnut shop for at least 30 years, probably more, and they make some tasty doughnuts. It's also across the street from the county sheriff's office

.

I did think about taking pictures... But at that point i already made a mess of my plate with hotsauce all over it and nearly finished the bowl of fried okra. No picture would of been able to do it justice.

I ate more than i should of too. 2 thighs 2 legs, 2 biscuits, a nice sized bowl slap full of fried okra, and a heaping pile of mashed taters. I feel like going into a food coma right now. Chewed up a few generic tums to prepare myself for the havoc all that fried food likes to bring with it.

Them burgers look good. But id likely explode if i look at them too long.

yogurt. quality yogurt.
If your gut isn't hosting the right culture, you ain't gonna be able to digest the lactose sugars in milk.
symbiosis is a wonderful thing, folks.

CBear, those burgers look great, but I'll take a Guinness, please. Incidentally, Y-beer is now available in RI. Regardless, I think you and I can work out a certain symbiosis... You cook, I'll eat. (or is that a parasitic relationship - I can't tell).
