Amanda and I are looking into getting rabbits for meat. Does anyone out there in Beckerland have any advice? Any tips, tricks, or ideas?

Get a good dutch oven and plant the potatoes, onions, and carrots now. Also invest in some good red wine.

I raised a litter. They taste real good. They cant get wet so its important to have good shelter for them. It sucked killing them and Im not real squeamish about killing and eating things.
 
i still disappointed in the last snark threat i never got the short skirts and becker pics. as for rabbits get them taters and onions and eat my friend you will love it!! in on 10 suckas!!

We did that at the fall gathering... You missed it? Jeez man, you're dragging so far behind, next you're gonna say you haven't seen the new BK-Condom made out of 1095 Cro-van with a micarta case.
 
I don't think they are carrying them yet. Check back second quarter of 2014... They are still working out the kinks.

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers for my brother. I've dropped in a few times, but was busy all day, so didn't have a chance for an update til now. All things considered he manged to end up being relatively ok. He is going to be out for a little while and came out with only one broken rib. Initially the dr's thought he was much worse off, but after having a Minneapolis hospital go over all his xrays and catscans, they found no internal bleeding or any broken bones other than the one rib. He's pretty beat up, but all will heal!! They released him early this morning and told him he's off work for a while. I helped him out by taking care of a few things he needed done today plus I had a pile of my own things that needed to be done, so I've been quite busy.

Turns out the big loss is his 4 wheeler, which is toast. I guess he was jumping off of it as he saw the car coming at him and it kinda protected him a bit I guess.

He works at a racetrack and one car got into another car on turn 1 and sent the other car over the edge of the track.

that's a good attitude to take.

esp if you have innovative competitors that intend to put you out of business and you don't mind :D

there are many fine things that work fine.

then someone comes along and makes it work 10% better. damn!

it's like the 1911. nothing WRONG with it, but you know, there's always room for improvement ;)

and thus, people improve on things.

show me a 100 year old perfect design, and i'll show you something that is begging to be refined :D
 
I had a great day out on my mother-in-laws new pontoon boat. Its got a big enough engine to pull tubes. It was the the first time since I was 10. It was a blast at the time, but I am hurting now. And to add insult to injury, my Kershaw Cryo is laying on the bottom of the lake somewhere. I feel lost without it.
