Nice setup, Thrill. I think you got all the bases covered there. Good wrap, good sheath, variety of carry methods, well done lanyard.

That thing needs some sort of modding love. Pretty cool, even if the logo looks a little off-kilter.

I bought this with something in mind

but after handling it, I like it a lot. So now Im afraid to mess it up...that above pic is AWESOME but would require a LOT of grinding on hardened heat-treated steel.

So I may just strip it, and be done with it.

It aint just the handle...the blade is reprofiled too. the stock 2 is almost a straight line across the tip, spine, and handle...that one is a gentle arc on top

I monkey around on two Yamahas--a classical and a steel string.
Where I live, they show you out of town if you can't at least play a few chords.

oddly enough, i too have two yamahas, nylong and steel each. heh.

though i'm casting a glance for a decent student violin now. need to keep the brain working a bit longer i think :>

oddly enough, there are no places within relatively near distance that sell violins. wrong weekend to go looking too (everything has short hours/etc).

mmm, two-ish weeks to Blade show. i'd best find some good airfare (and i think i have, $333 round trip, but with hops, not direct, that's twice as much)

Anybody know the penalty for driving with no lights on while wearing night vision goggles in Indiana? I may find out tonight, thanks Tankerwolf!
Just don't get caught hunting with NOD while using suppressed weapons, Oh wait that'd be impossible.

That's a badass pattern, but of course I'd say that, 'cause it's basically my mountain knife!
Yeah, that's a lot of grinding on hardened steel. Just get some fresh, annealed 1084 and make what you want from scratch. Someone will heat treat it for you, that's the only hard part compared to turning a BK2 into that thing.

That's a cool design, but I agree with Daizee. It might just be easier to start from scratch. Hey, it could be your first handmade blade.

Just got home from a 17 hour day. Exhausted! I was feeling left out with all the people round here talking about sod busters, so I picked up a bulldog sod buster a few days ago. It showed up today, and it's pretty sweet :) Yesterday I also got out to the river not far from my house and worked on a shelter in a little camp site me and the roommate set up. I used the bk9 for most of it, it's nothing fancy but it's kind of a nice little getaway close to home.

I had also ordered some camo ripstop nylon to try and make my own tarp/shelter/thingy. It came today, and it's a bit thin(30 denier or whatever it's called) but I think it should work. I'll get pics of that up when it's done.

Cool shelter, edtac.

We've been family camping all weekend. Weather ha been seriously bipolar.

Right now, and since 9pm yesterday, I've got 20lbs of pork butt on the smoker for pulled pork this afternoon. Mmmmm... Can't wait.

Wife just cooked up Benton sausage, eggs, biscuits, grits.
I would have taken a picture, but I was too busy eating.

Yeah, we forgot all about that Benton sausage on Sunday morning. Shame too, that stuff is amazing.

I remembered it, but only after Ethan had already driven up.

I remembered it right as we were leaving.

Daiz- yeah, that's about what I've decided...no sense cutting on a knife that much, especially when I like it as-is. Raw Steel is cheap(ish) and would be easier to work with.

EDC- that soddie is nice huh! ;) great lil user-folders IMO
