I love small towns in the Ozarks!

was outside hammering another nail into my coffin when this lil guy appeared. I put the Mohican Sneak on him, got well into bow-range, took a couple pics then stepped out into the open.....he went ''what the Snark!?'' and took off. Fun lil stalk, he's lucky this aint September! He had some velvet antler growth....prolly gonna be a nice plump forkhorn this year.
dang I can't wait to get a Becker all bloody on some whitetail!

the dreaded ''White Flag'' of deer-hunting...

ETA- I live smack in the middle of town, and I see more deer here then I do out hunting! We have a wet weather ditch/crick that borders our property in the back, and the neighbor has 4 empty city lots that are just a big field basically. They filter thru town using the crick as cover.

while I'm waiting on the kids to get home from church I'm window shopping, I am gonna be ordering one of these
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/958083-One-for-the-Bush-Marbles-Machete

looks like a nice design and size.

I love a machete for work, I dont worry about a under 20$ blade...will hack it into anything. My 18'' CS latin has seen better days but it still does the job!

trade picked me up one of these at SMKW. Great design and good steel, but the handles on mine blow.
After some medium duty chopping, the scales were already loose. I'm going to have to replace, or at least re-pin.

grades posted. 245/250 on my risk management and insurance final! boom goes the dynamite

Got my new/old hat today. Im liking it so far. The black Stetson was just too warm for the heat I needed a new summer hat.

Its called the Real Deal Brazilian Tarp hat. It is made from recycled truck tarps in the Amazon. Woody Harrelson wore one in Zombie land. Im digging it. You can google them or the river store has them.

Dang a large? You got a small noggin for an Ogre, mine is a 2X!!!!!

That hat does look sweet, do they make a boony style hat like that? I will have to do some research :)

Oh and Thrill, the sod buster is not a "lil user" :D

It's damn near the size of my milie

Love my tarp hat. They come with a flat brim, but you can bend 'em anyway you want 'em. Here's mine from last year...

I like those light-colored hats for the summer.
I have a drizabone oilskin from Aussieland. Flew back from AU with three hats on my head.

I also use a Willis Oilskin from Outback Trading Company.

To be honest though, both the oilskin and the tarp hat are way too hot for summer. I prefer them in fall or early spring.

On their site, the "pretty ugly hat" is pictured on a very attractive woman. Marketing is a strange thing ;)

My head measures 22-23'' around, that was the Large size according to their info. I keep my head shaved remember.
