Looking forward to camping this weekend. Supposed to be 59° Friday, 52° Saturday, and 60° Sunday. Coldest at 32° Friday night. Great camping weather. :thumbup:

I'm jealous. We're cooling off to the upper 70's for highs with a one night low of 53. I was in Chicago last week and it was GORGEOUS!!!! weather - and they had color in the leaves.

Taking lots of firewood, haha. Actually, it should be a bit warmer at night for us. We're gonna pitch the tipi for the first time, and I'll be able to use my tent heater. Should be good to go. Roughing it, haha. You two going somewhere new, or somewhere you've been?

I'm hoping to get some winter hiking/camping in this year. I love the winter time. Always have. The wife does too. We even got married in the winter.

It's a sweet pack. Very roomy. Murph was the one that told me about them. A bit scary taking Murph's advice, but admittedly, the man came through.

Sad day, this morning to people that my mom used to teach with we're hit head on and both died. And tonight we found out that one of our local scoutmaster as, and a close friend, was dignosed with bone cancer, he only has a couple months left. He was a really great man, a Vietnam vet, he was always willing to help out and teach, he went in because he had been experiencing pretty bad back pain for awhile, and that's when they found it, he truly will be missed.

Sorry to hear that, spike. I don't care what kind of cancer a person gets, they ALL suck. Do yourself and your Scoutmaster a favor, though (and I say this with all kindness): please don't write his obituary yet. While he's alive you can show him that he's STILL a really great man and how much he means/meant to you.
