Prayer headed out Todd.

On a lighter note, we checked out the lake cabin I was talking about. Needs way too much work for this old boy.

Thoughts and prayers for your mom, Todd. Hope she's doing well.

My best wishes for your mom, Todd - and a prayers for the docs, too - for skilled hands.

farscape is a good series to get into (and the movie)

and there's some other fun rides too.

MmmmMMmm. Crushed heavily on Claudia Black. Farscape was great, but the story arc of Babylon 5 was more interesting.

My stomach has been feeling kind of gross today for some strange reason...Might have been all the bad food Ive eaten in the last week. Possibly. Maybe. Small chance. :worked_till_5am:

Dinner tonight.

Stopped at a thrift store today Ive never been to. Seemed small and not worth stopping at in the past but I was wrong. Lots of tools and antiques. Also a bunch of knives but all Chinese except a J Marttiini fillet knife and an old scythe blade. Saw a a few impact wrenches and an air hammer I hope are there next time I go.

I got the scythe blade for $6. Thinking about turning it into a big knife.

Ditch blade? Waste to ruined that ... IMHO... There's a scythe thread here original there. Just put a handle on.

Thanks for all the well wishes for my mom guys.... She went in to day for prep around 10:00 A.M. Surgery started about noon. She got out about 5:30. Doctor was very optimistic and said the surgery went well, he's very confident that all of the tumor was removed so that's good news. My mother however, who has never drank a drop in her life let alone any drugs is not used to any kind of anesthesia, pain killers of any kind, has only woke up for a few minutes here and there and has no idea what's going on. She's crashed out pretty hard. Probably best, the cut is huge and I imagine she would be in some pretty bad pain. Doctors say she'll snap out of it tomorrow. Hope so.

42blades took a cracked scythe blade and ground a parang blade out of it - pretty sure it's up on his website with a 4 sale sticker on it.

Best wishes for your mother Todd. Sounds like things went well. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

I was wondering what this kind of scythe was for, with that thick steel on top of the blade. Ditch blade sounds like a good guess to me.

There has got to be plenty of these out there. Does not seem like much of a waste to me since the original handle is gone. But I wont rush into it. I will wait and think about it. See if I can find out anything about it. Maybe I will just save it or sell it.

I dont think I'm interested in using one of these enough to spend the money on a handle.

There are 2 more complete scythe's with handles and longer blades there at the same place I'm probably going to go back for next payday.

I just found the scythe thread thanks. Going to check it out.

Checking out the reports from the first day of SHOT show and I'm digging it. Kimber has a revolver that looks intresting, Howa is jumping on the scout rifle bandwagon, and the Tavor X95 might be my first bulpup.

Well, I went to look and unless you register, you can't look. I don't buy a car without kicking the tires and driving it. And I don't register with places just to look around to see if I'd be interested in joining.

Don't join then, no biggie.

It's a great spot Zz, I'll vouch for it. There's sooo much there, I spend way more time lurking than posting. Great exchange too. Just like here...I lurked for years before signing up. Think you need like 10 posts or something silly to view some areas but general is open with just registering.

I think I'd pass on this one too. We've taken on project houses/properties before but for a weekend place, that's a whole lot of weekends without any relaxing or fun just to make it habitable and safe, starting with some serious foundation work. Next.
