Mauser Chat. All Mauser all the time..or until he passes out. Drinking rootbeer with alcohol in it. Its called not your fathers root beer. pretty good.

that one is good - but sweet. (like A&W)
Coney Island Root Beer is also good and not as sweet. (more like Mug RB)
and then there's the hard ginger ales -- haven't tried NYFRB yet, but the coney island tastes a LOT like a dark & stormy.

Thinking it might be a good day to take the kids up north a bit. :D going to call my brother. Maybe take the snowmobiles out on the lawn

That sounds fun. I want a snowmobile. Lots of snow here. I really want to get a sand paddle tire and ride my dirtbike in the snow.

I haven't heard of the coney island RB. After the first not your fathers it does start getting too sweet.

I didn't know there was hard ginger ale. That sounds great. I like ginger ale. I'm going to look for that.

I prefer coney island to NYF. Row Hard is another one, made with molasses and cane sugar.

Coney Island also makes a hard ginger ale that is pretty good. NYF makes one too, but I didn't care for it in the same way I didn't like their root beer. Maybe it is the anise.

That doughnut place you are going tomorrow sounds amazing! Have a great time. I wish there were more good places like that.

Also This.

Yes...2 and I'm stuffed! Friggin delicious!

Went to Arby's again but instead of a meat mountain I just ordered a chicken bacon swiss and a beef 'n chedder, ditched the bottom buns and slapped them together. Oh yeah. And the loaded curly fries are way better without ranch.

Anything is better without ranch.

I have never understood the logic of ordering a salad and then smothering said salad in ranch dressing (or any other dressing for that matter).

Sounds pretty good. The chicken bacon Swiss is my regular order there when I'm not climbing the mountain.I would miss the brisket though. My favorite part of the mountain. Think ill try mixing the chicken bacon Swiss and a brisket sandwich.

All of you Firefly fans probably already have it on DVD, but just in case you don't, Netflix just put Serenity on so you can stream it.

My wife just watched that yesterday. She said something about the series not feeling finished until seeing the movie or something like that. She liked it.

Yeah, it's a great movie (and series). From the one I read the comic books based on it are good too. I would have been way more excited about it being on Netflix if I hadn't watched it at my cousins' house a month ago.

Oil and vinegar... Yummm

I use vinegar too... Well I save all the juice from jars of jalapeno peppers and use it like salad dressing. When I'm out of "pepper juice" I just use vinegar, sometimes pickle juice...

Now I'm soaking my own peppers in vinegar and using it n salads and greens.

I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can start planting some veggies.

So I made it down to VooDoo Doughnuts in Denver.

There are only a few of these places. 1 in Colorado, 1 in Texas and maybe 4 or 5 in the Oregon area where they originated. This is my second time here. I went on my birthday last year, wanted to try the giant doughnut challenge and chickened out when I got there.

The giant doughnut is called the Texass doughnut. Its a glazed doughnut that weighs the same as 6 of their regular sized ones. I assume from the saying everything's bigger in Texas. I was born in Texas. :D

So you have to pay the $6 up front for the doughnut to do the challenge. If you do it you get your money back and a pin that says Texass Champion. You have 80 seconds from your first bite. You get 1 glass of water. All the employees start yelling and honking horns, setting off sirens and screaming at you with a megaphone to distract you.

So I got up the nerve to try the Texass challenge this time. I had to at least try. I failed. I just couldn't swallow the doughnut fast enough. I managed to eat most of it and get it all in my mouth in the last few seconds before my time was up but couldn't get the last part down.

Back in training for next year.

Here are the pictures my daughters took.

The doughnut the employee is picking up here is a Blunt. You can get a Blunt and a Marshall Mathers for $4.20.

These are the 2 dozen we got.

Here are 2 apple fritters, 1 peach fritter with cream cheese frosting, 3 Portland creme filled,1 pothole, 1 butter finger bar and a VooDoo Doll. These are the ones my kids picked out. They ate a couple Jelly filled powdered ones that are missing.

This box has 2 Texass and 12 buttermilk bars. The only kind I eat. My favorite are the buttermilk bars.

Oh my freakin' GOD, Maus. That looks positively deadly. Good on ya for tryin'......but maybe that's not the best thing to be training for. Enjoy your doughnuts. We have nothing but Dunkin here....their original location is a mere 60 miles away in Quincy, MA. Been by it many times.....but I generally only get coffee at DD.

LOL, only in the Becker sub will you find this sort. I applaud your bravery!!! I admit freely that I could not do this. I have to guess though; having had both sandwiches before (separately of course, and not at the same time) that the combo in the same meal/same sandwich has got to be......:barf: LOL

Honestly though, I can't handle any fast food. But, you keep rocking it!!

Having lived in the Portland area for 8 years, I can admit I went to the original Voodoo many times. There are two locations (at least there were when I left) in Portland.

The Maple Bacon Bars were my favorite. I'd usually get two. I did have the big doughnut you have pictured but only on one occasion. One thing they do in Portland is they sell a 5 gallon bucket full to the brim with the day-old unsold doughnuts. It was pretty cheap. We bought a bucket one time and I have to say.....it was disgusting but fun. Disgusting because they literally just threw the doughnuts in the bucket, and however they landed in there is how they were sold. Yucky, LOL. It was fun though, sifting through looking for the "better" ones. My family of four could not even make a good dent in the bucket. We tried for sure, but we didn't have an ambulance on standby LOL. We ended up just throwing most away, LOL. I think the bucket was only like 5 bucks, so totally worth it. I still have the bucket someplace.

:D we always have a blast when we go out. Today we just buzzed around my brother's front lawn (5 acres). Was all about getting the kids out for some fun (and me too a little bit :D)

My bro, my oldest 2, and the arctic kitty cat

Both the kids took turns on it but in order to stop the fighting we came up with a great idea :D we drilled the back frame and put in two anchors. From the anchors we attached a cargo sled

helmets were warn when the kids were on individually (because we removed the limiter), I didn't get any pictures of me chasing them on the 500 :D but they loved it. I also hopped em up on my lap for a few spins  fun day had by all.

Those are some pretty epic looking doughnuts!
