Snarking Up The Wrong Tree

91bravo 91bravo Lol thats my own concoction. triple G flashlight mounts and my scope turned sideways to give me more windage than elevation. Shoots 2 1/8th inches to the right. I could zero it at a given range but the windage would change from 2 1/8th at the muzzle untill it hit zero then the windage would reverse and head back the other way. Its just as easy to know that it hits 2 1/8th to the right. The deer couldn't tell the difference last season lol

300 yards on a 10 Inch steel consistently. Then I went blind in my right eye:( now i shoot this because im old and stubborn and refuse to reverse 45 years of muscle memory lol

That is ingenious. You oughta patent the concept, unless it already has been.

I remember reading something G Loomis said years back... Something like "I can build you a rod that you can't break, but you won't want to fish with it"

You can have good sensitivity, or good durability... But, in my price range anyway, you can't have both...

Congrats on getting some fishing in. I'm going through fishing withdrawals right now because of all the rain...

But Friday I head to Georgia... All night catfishing and bowfishing... From Friday to Sunday. Looking forward to it. A little rain isn't going to stop me, but hopefully the weather cooperates.

Sounds like a good time. Have fun!!

Back to reality after two grueling days at the schoolbench... Im feelin a bit old reading up on stuff that just barely interest me.
Well, managed to pass the "bearing(SKF) course" test even though it was a bit challenging :thumbsup:
Back to work tomorrow..

Need forest time now!
But its to friggin hot (+30°c) so not even the dogs want to go outside... And there's a "No open fire" prohibition in half the country right now.. :(

Caught a 53” Sturgeon this morning.

What a nice fish! That had to hurt , Oh well, a least you had good battle and I'am sure a great day  I've never caught a Keeper Sturgeon and I've tried plenty of times. Someday I hope :D

That's awesome Johnny! That's one fish that is definitely on my bucket list. How long did it take to land?

I’d say a good 20-30 minutes. I set the hook and it went straight down river about 75 yards. I couldn’t even slow him down. Those big guys do what they want. Such a powerful fish! Needless to say, my forearms were burning after landing that one.
Didn’t get to take any sturgeon home, but we had dug razor clams in the morning. They were tasty for dinner last night.

Damn heat is gettin worse, 32°c today... Both dogs got diarrea, they just cant stand these temperatures.
Hottest spring/early summer in 100years ..o_O:poop:

Once temperatures rise above 80 Degrees Fahrenheit kind of puts a damper on the day for me as well as my dogs too
