I absolutely love it man!!! Thing is a beast and it does the small work much easier then you would expect. One knife in the bush and this is the one. One knife would never happen though...

The JEST style bolos are outstanding for pretty much anything.
I dressed out a deer with the one I made, just to see how it would go. I won't do it again unless I have to but it went suprisingly well.

Got a nice native Brook Trout today.

Personally, I'll be glad to get to BLADE..... That means all of my long days will slow down. I ground and heat treated 6 M-18s and 2-Tradewaters. Glued together 10 Yuma sheaths, 6 Hornet sheaths, 5 miscellaneous sheath and sharpened a 7 Maguas and 12-Hornets today. All of the said stuff for BLADE. I'm beat. Hittin the sack.

But i have wanted one of his knives for a while, and didnt want to go basic with it.

You have fine, fine taste, my friend. :D

seriously, that's gorgeous.

Just watched "A Million Ways to Die in the West".
That is one hilarious movie.

Nice fishy!!

Yeah the hamon looks awesome. Wish mine had one.

Mine was definately more affordable for me. $100. Think it's a great deal for what it is. Haven't used it much yet but like the overall feel of it.

Ya if your gonna go custom might as well go all out. That one looks well worth it.

Hell yea 100 is a damn good deal for that blade. I would of bought it too, and i dont care for orange... but at that price i wouldnt even be able to see it LOL

Moving date is getting closer!!! Im READY. The place has a gas stove... i dont want a gas stove and made a comment that id be taking that out before long.... Well i heard today the people are switching it out for me!! Also the place they are in the process of moving into has a washer and dryer already.. so they are leaving theirs in the house im moving in to.. which means we can leave ours... 2 big things less to move.

2 things im also really excited about.... Central air and well water... I miss well water. Philly tap water is disgusting. We dont drink it. And none of the 3 different places i have lived in Philly had any air conditioning. 3 out of 5 places i lived in Texas had swamp coolers. 1 had central air and 1 had NOTHING. I miss central air LOL

Central Air > Swamp Cooler
Swamp Cooler > Nothing
Nothing = Time to move

A little SRV with the weather report...

It's footage of Austin...and that's close enough to being Texas. ;)

Houston and east Texas had a nasty Monday night. Been a wet May.

Hope you guys have fun down there!

WOW. Hope everyone is staying safe.

And dont get me wrong, id LOVE a swamp cooler right now.. its hot in here tonight LOL... For real though there was lots of times in Texas we were happy to have them swamp coolers, WAY better than nothing.

We bought window units for the bedrooms here, only use them at night though... And im not in the bedrooms much.

F'n poinon ivy...up at 3am, ffs.
Growing up in west Texas we never heard of central air, just central heat. Everyone had swamp coolers but they worked okay in the dry climate. Here in NC, not so much. Just don't leave your crackers out...they'll be soft in the morning. Now something I haven't seen in years is a roof top swamp cooler...that was for rich folks haha

Yep, central air is a must. When it gets over 80... its time to turn it on :D

Our central air is catty-wampus and I'm too cheap to replace it. So we just have a couple window AC's we only use when we're in that room. Luckily my shop is in the northwest corner of the building and heavily shaded, so it's not a big deal until about August.

I don't understand how "swamp" coolers could work worth a hoot anywhere but the mountains or desert. In Northern WI or East TN where it's already humid all summer, they just make it more humid. :barf:

Regardless, I'd still rather sweat my behind off than freeze it off. I'll take the long hot summers here over the long frigid winters in WI any time.

Sometimes (well, maybe a lot of the time...) I wonder about UPS and their business model. Got a handgun coming from a distributor that has to go 2nd Day Air according to UPS rules. Normally not an issue, since I'm only 2 hours south of DFW, and the distributor is in Grand Prairie fairly close to the airport. I really need the gun today to get it ready for the customer, so of course since it an "air" shipment, UPS sticks the box on a plane in DFW and sends it to Louisville, KY, where it is held up by mechanical problems and weather... Groan... I think the normal air route from DFW is to Louisville, then Austin, then a truck up to the Belton Distribution Center for delivery to my house. So the ground package shipped at the same time is on the truck for delivery today and the air package is still in Kentucky... I wish I could say that stupid stuff like this never happens with USPS or FedEx, but that would be a lie.... :grumpy:

We went camping this past weekend. I thought I would document the experience in a comprehensive photo essay....
