Here's a few. His girlfriend painted it. Not too tall, as it's in his garage, but you get the idea:

He has one of these above his doorway as well:

Looks great. Like that SoIll hangboard above the door, but I particularly like the whiteboard where he's tracking his workouts.

just found out that i won a GAW in General! first time ever!

also, the next couple weeks are going to tiring, leaving for oklahoma boys state on Saturday, it is a week long leadersip camp put on by the american legion, then once i get back we have three days to move.

I had some fun in General today... I know I shouldn't have, but it was too perfect.

Hi Everyone,

I need a good (SERIOUS) recommendation on a heavy duty outdoor / outdoor survival knife that will handle cutting, slashing, chopping, sawing and last for 5 years. For the past 18 years my friends and I would go on to multiple outdoor survival camping trips. We'll pack very light, no more than a backpack, a sleeping bag and a knife.

Almost every other years I'll have to purchase a new knife. Reasons... handle had broken off, Blade had a large chip, cost of sharping is more than a brand new knife etc, etc...

Example.
My last / current knife is a Boker USA Arbolito Timberwolf, tip had broken off.

Any recommendation???

Thank You All

PS
I do not abuses my knife/s and **YES** I do know how to use it and take care of it.
So keep your 2 cents to yourself.

You know how to take care of a knife, but you can't sharpen a chip out? Or even sharpen at all?

That said, Becker.

noswad0208...
When a knife has a large chip in the blade, to fix it I'll have to sharped it out. Small chip is easy, if the chip is large than 1/16 of inch to 1/8 of inch deep.....
That is A LOT of steel you'll have to sharp out.

Also, enable to have a laser like sharp knife you must take it in to a knife smith 2 or 3 time per a year... Unless you have the equipment at home.

Do keep in mind this is a survival camping trip not a weekend BBQ camping trip.

Oh, sorry for my uninformed comments. I thought you were your average weekend warrior, obviously not the case.

I suggest a United Cutlery One Shot One Kill Survival Bowie. One of the greatest knives ever made for your modern day survivalist.

I couldn't resist. :o

You could have resisted.....but you didn't. This is why I don't venture into any of those discussions over there. I would surely be banned......except for maybe when something so ill-informed comes out of someone's keyboard that I....I reconsider all the smartass things there are to say and just refrain. Mostly 'cause I know other people will pile on, and most likely be much funnier. Besides, I have enough of that $#!+ to deal with at work.

I meant that I couldn't resist recommending the greatest survival knife of our time. Whatchu talkin' about Willis?

snark

I just wanna point out, the BK15 is prefectly balanced for throwing. The thing throws like a DREAM. Stuck it on just about every try.

SNARK! :D I didn't throw it. Just thought I'd see if I could get anyone. :D

well, i'll put you down for a canceled warranty just in case :D how's that for snark? :P

not a fan of being bear pooh. :D

There are only black bears in the Smokies, and they're pretty laid back. About the only times people get hurt by them is when idiots corner them or get between a mama and her cubs*. Personally, I consider that Darwin at work. When I'm out and about in these parts, I worry more about copperheads than I do bears. Those little rascals are sneaky, from what I'm told.

*The two we saw earlier this week were quite small, maybe 80# at most, and perhaps more importantly, within 10 feet of each other. I'm not a wildlife biologist, but their proximity to each other seemed odd and made me think Mama might be close by, keeping an eye on things... so we did not follow them into the woods to get a better picture.

The blue eye is creepy. And implausible.

You mean a Jewish guy from the middle east circa 30 AD wasn't really 6' tall and blond with blue eyes? Blasphemy!

Yeah, my name got dragged into that mess too. I wouldn't worry about it too much; those types usually hang around about a week, then get mad and wander off. But sometimes they actually do want to learn... so if he stumbles into Beckerland, play nice :)

I noticed that too... I'm not a trained forester any more than I am a wildlife biologist, but I don't think that's good for growing trees. It seems to me you might could find some dead/down limbs to practice stabbing and especially peeling bark off of, Dawson. Dead dry stuff burns better anyway. Just a thought. ;)
