Putting a 10 in my head :p
Do it.

Mine rides around in my Dad Wagon.

Hi ho, hi ho, off to the cabin we go. Went there a few weeks ago and stocked back up on firewood. Hi's in the upper 40's, lows around 30. They took snow out of the forecast for Sunday morning, now it's supposed to rain. Oh well, still be a good time.

Just put some stainless hardware on my large Beckers.

The supplied bolt/nuts on my 7 and 9 were starting to rust.

I changed them on my Turok as well. The forward bolt needs some trimming down. I took the coating off and now the bolt digs into your palm.

The shiny new ones don't look as cool, but I suppose it is worth the piece of mind.

Any idea on the size needed for the tweeners?

Tweener screw size 8-32x1/2”. Bolt Depot order online store :thumbsup: they also have black oxide SS if you don’t like the bare SS.

Becker Database thread info
Hope that helps

Edit: xr6x beat me :p

Thanks fellas!

Another question...

A forum member and craftsman asked me about the history of the snark thread.

How did it start? Is there some story or meaning behind the thread and its tradition?

It seems like a new thread is started over time, almost like it's been an ongoing thing for a long time.

I remember always seeing a Snark thread in one form or another when I joined.

Also, anyone heard from Ethan?

Lastly, I am typing this laying in bed, with a BK-7 in an Azwelke sheath laying on my chest.

Yes I know that's weird. My wife doesn't even bat an eye anymore hahaha!

Iirc, it was DerekH that started it. That's what I remember. We would shut them down at 1,000 posts. Now, since the forum is at a crawl, we do it at 500 posts.

Thank you sir, I was wondering about that.

Yes, it's a bit strange the Becker Sub has slowed up. I guess with the flood of knives in the market the lineup sorta has to complete with the endless amounts of new models being pumped out.

Not to mention the ten second attention span of newer social media platforms.

Still, the BK line is a relevant and great offering. Unique design, US made, actual cutting geometry, and a long history of satisfied users.

My 16 gets the most hand time out of all of them, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Might even be my most used fixed blade knife out of all, minus my kitchen knives.

There's been a lot of fracturing of the knife community across other silo's media platforms, which I think is quite a bit of the cause of slowness.

Yes that's true. I see some platforms are really making it hard for knife makers.

What a strange world we live in.

That also, but I specifically meant brand-specific affinity groups on Facebook, IG, etc. One great thing about BF is that it's all under one tent with a large community across all the sub-genres who dabble back and forth.

New BK10 showed up today.

The blade coating is different than my other Beckers. It's a smooth black, sorta thick paint.

All my others came with a textured coating.

Is this the new style?
