Jerry or Garth, could either of you please tell us if the swedge grind is like the HG55 in the sense that it still has some flat surface in the middle of the spine for resting a thumb on while choking up on the knife?

I'm guessing that the rest of the specs would be similar to an HG55, yes? ....(1/4" thick, approx. 5-3/4" long blade length, nearly 11" OAL?)

I'm sure it's an HG55 handle but the blade seems longer than the HG55 to me.

Don't quote me, but I have a D/C HG55 in front of me, and its blade is almost 6" (about 1/4" shy)...I don't see this being longer than 6" if it's longer than the HG55...but I could be wrong!

It could just be the angle of the pic or the way the handle has been cut off and reshaped that is making it seem longer. Common sense says that it was made from an HG55 blank so you are probably right. Either way it is very cool.
