Snow, Snow, and more SNOW!!! Yuck!

All I have to say is I am tired of falling and slipping on the ice. I always end up making monkey like sounds "oooh oooo oooo" as I am loosing my footing. It is embarrassing in public.

I'm right there with you, this is just getting ridiculous at this point. I feel like I need to wear a hockey helmet to walk outside anymore, I don't need concussion number 2 as I'm just finally getting over the first one…..:grumpy::rolleyes:

There you go Garth.... Taken from this link

BBQed GROUNDHOG

INGREDIENTS:
1 good sized "whistle pig" (groundhog)
1 bottle BBQ Sauce (any kind you like)
3-4 large onions (optional)
2-3 green bell peppers (optional)

PREPARATION:
clean groundhog thoroughly (on male hog: be sure to remove glands in "armpits")
peel and quarter onions
clean and cut peppers into fairly large chunks

* Place groundhog on heavy-duty aluminum foil
* stuff chest cavity and belly with onions and peppers
* arrange remaining onions and peppers around groudhog
* fold up beginning edge and sides of aluminum foil
* pour most of BBQ Sauce over groundhog (save a little sauce in bottom of bottle)
* quickly but carefully roll up aluminum foil, making sure that sauce doesn't run out on the sides
* keep rolling tightly, 4 or 5 times, into foil, folding in sides of foil like a package after each turn
* cut foil and fold edges over
* repeat procedure another 3 or 4 times into lengthwise direction

COOKING DIRECTIONS:
Best if prepared on a grate over an open fire, but can also be baked in the oven at 375°F
* cook (bake) 1½ hours, then turn package over
* cook (bake) another 1½ hours
* remove package and slice through all layers of aluminum foil in a triangular shape
* peel layers back carefully (watch out for hot steam)
* pour a little water into the bottle of BBQ Sauce to thin out remaining sauce
* shake well and pour mixture into "smokehole" in aluminum foil package
* close hole and cover top of package with an extra piece of foil
* return package to fireplace or oven
MAKE SURE THE SIDE WITH THE HOLE IS FACING UP !!!
* bake for another 30 to 40 minutes
* remove package from fire or oven (keep the side with the hole facing UP )
* slice aluminum foil open carefully (hot steam!)

Serve hot with --- well, just about anything

TIP: The shortback is the BEST part !....... Bon appétit :D

They're calling for quite a bit more snow in our area as well. I guess it's all supposed to hit sometime Sunday night.

You Busse folks are either in it, or close to it. The sky. is that mouse gray color again.... Sun looks like a patch that's a paler shade of gray. Can hardly see it. Minus 18C out..... Snow is a comin'...... Fireplace and Apple Pie for Lora, I guess:)....

Here comes the snow this sunday for us in central pa too. Woohoo more Overtime = more knives and toys!

Yup, expecting another big storm in NJ Sunday into Monday. Possibility of a foot of the white stuff. At least there is a snow blower where I live and the guys that live here take care of that stuff

Good Sue, stay indoors (or go out and make snow angels)....started here (greater Montreal area). Light stuff. sitting at home with...... Hot cup of Java.... Mmmmmm:thumbup:

I'm anticipating this storm, I've got drinks and movies at the house incase I get snowed in and I've got a group of friends ready to go out on snowmobiles if we get enough snow to go play in. :)

I never thought I would say this but, I kind of wish it would snow here. We have not had any since December and the first part of January.

Hello,

now this is a pitty!
No snow in east France, even no frost under -5°C this year!
Usually, we have at least 2 Month under 0° C, wich tells threes, animals, that winther has arrived.
Now this year, nothing of it!
Just rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, rain, etc...............................
Never got so much water!

And guess what, tomorrow, I will enter a plane at destination: USA!

Do you think I might encounter snow?..........................

...............In Miami??? :-)

I have all wrong this year!! :_p

Amicalement

Cela dépend de ta destination. Beaucoup de neige au centre des USA. Garth dit que c'est presque du jamais vu.....

It is weird not seeing snow when you're used to it. I highly doubt you'll encounter much snow in Miami, but I'm sure stranger things have happened.

Yep!
I told you: I got everything wrong this year!
But, I will enjoy the sun of Florida.
Just loading batteries again.
But I definitely have to visit some relatives in Chicago once in winter!

Just got my new snowblower !! But not the biggest one .As described the biggest one " It will shoot snow the length of my driveway, across the road, and into the woods " I will get to test mine monday ! It actually started at -6 F but got to 35 F. With the suneating away at the snow my neighbors [deer] are able to get some food and enjoy the sun !! Everybody has run out of firewood -very looong, cold winter.
