Snow, Snow, and more SNOW!!! Yuck!

We havent had this much snow since 1978. Actually we eclipsed the Blizzard of 78 as far as snow fall goes. Only difference was in 78 it all came in just a few days.

It's fixing to snow here again starting around 3am :( I am so tired of this darned snow!! It will be nice to get back down South into the sunshine.

Winters around here have been really mind quite some time. So long, in fact, that the last time I remember having a winter that there was any snow like this was when I was in elementary school. I may not be that old, but its been about twenty years since I was in elementary school. All this snow is reminding me of my childhood, it's not a bad thing to me. The roads can be bad, but it's a matter of being willing to slow down and be smart enough to understand the situation one puts themselves in when they decide to drive anywhere.
 
And now its almost 40° and stuff is a wet icy mess. I want the spring like they have on cartoons where the snow just disappears, the sun comes out and it is instantly warm and green.

I Know what you mean ..... The beginning of spring is at least 6 weeks away..... Still have got a lot of mess to go through...
 
I damn near fainted today. It got up around 50 degrees. Sun was shining, snow and ice were melting, hell didn't have to wear a thick coat today

I must be dreaming
 
62 and sunny here today. Some snow still trying to hang on.
 
The snow is now a slushy mess, I'm not sure whether I should be happy that it's supposed to be upwards to 50°F tomorrow or wish that it would stay cold so everything doesn't flood. I'm looking forward to warmer weather, tomorrow will be my first day of running outside again since the weather turned cold. :thumbup:
 
Clobbered here in Jersey. Finally yesterday and today temp will be 40 - 50 degrees. Hate this weather.
 
It got pretty warm here today. Being woken up by a loud thunderstorm was quite the pleasant surprise this morning. I wasn't upset but the sound of rain and thunder definitely kicked spring fever into hyperdrive. More cold weather is headed our way, spring teasers just don't seem fair. :(
 
Weatherman just said another few days of 40-50 and then back to freezing. Gonna have to break out the ice skates.

Got up to 64 today and everything is just a soupy mess.

We had another foot of winter's finest overnight. Good stiff wind out of the north today with more coming down. No need for the insect repellant yet.
 
All I have to say is I am tired of falling and slipping on the ice. I always end up making monkey like sounds "oooh oooo oooo" as I am loosing my footing. It is embarrassing in public.

I hear ya! It's a deluge here at the moment. All this rain is turning snow into ice. It's gonna be hell when it all freezes (pun intended)...
 
The weatherman is calling for cooler temps around here tomorrow and then back below freezing next week. I think I need to buy some of those ice gripping things for the bottom of my boots so I don't fall anymore than I already have. That or I need to invest in a pillow to sew onto the back of my pants.
 
Hey, a pillow would feel a heck of a lot better than falling flat on my butt! If little kids learning to ice skate can wear them, then I think it might work for me too. I'm not very graceful when I fall, I tend to flail and make a ruckus. It draws quite a bit of attention. :D
