Well at first look .. This deal stunk. But after reading the whole story it does prove that the seller was more than fair. I don't understand how a knife goes from fully functional to falling apart in transit but stranger things have happened I am sure.
I would have done the same thing in offering a full refund rather than a credit . Seems the buyer is fine with getting the knife repaired and seller sent off parts so I guess its a wash... Except for one thing. Why would the OP go to all this to call out a guy who offered a unconditional refund ?? It seems unfair to out the seller when he appears to be honorable ?
It also reminds me that before we rush to judgment we should really hear all the facts from both sides.
Who called the guy out? WHO tried to tarnish the guy? I started it asking questions about repair, etc. Reading is fundamental... Go back and read the posts, I literally was as vague as I could be to simply inquire about getting it repaired. I DO like the knife as I stated, I simply didn't get what I was advertised.
I've NEVER stated the seller didn't offer a refund or was being cantankerous nor did I slander him in any way, I just stated the obvious. I'll be glad to report a happy deal when I have the knife repaired and my other items I paid for arrive.
