Well at first look .. This deal stunk. But after reading the whole story it does prove that the seller was more than fair. I don't understand how a knife goes from fully functional to falling apart in transit but stranger things have happened I am sure.

I would have done the same thing in offering a full refund rather than a credit . Seems the buyer is fine with getting the knife repaired and seller sent off parts so I guess its a wash... Except for one thing. Why would the OP go to all this to call out a guy who offered a unconditional refund ?? It seems unfair to out the seller when he appears to be honorable ?

It also reminds me that before we rush to judgment we should really hear all the facts from both sides.

Who called the guy out? WHO tried to tarnish the guy? I started it asking questions about repair, etc. Reading is fundamental... Go back and read the posts, I literally was as vague as I could be to simply inquire about getting it repaired. I DO like the knife as I stated, I simply didn't get what I was advertised.

I've NEVER stated the seller didn't offer a refund or was being cantankerous nor did I slander him in any way, I just stated the obvious. I'll be glad to report a happy deal when I have the knife repaired and my other items I paid for arrive.

He offered a refund...you refused, what exactly do you want? Why did you start this thread before giving the seller a chance to make it right? This is over.

As nicely as I can put this.

Well, it was bound to happen someday...

Bought a Custom Titanium scaled Emerson Commander...
Well... to say I was excited to receive this thing is an understatement... I was SO pumped.

Immediately after unboxing it, I noticed items offered weren't included... no big deal right? I'll address that....

Well, the moment after I deployed it for the first time, I noticed immediately the clicking/clacking sound... Okay, lock rock... SWEET..
Well, I deployed it and showed my roommate how to almost guarantee yourself a trip to the emergency room..

So here's my next question.... I know NOTHING about the precise measurements needed etc.. Is there any custom knife guys who could help a brother out and give this thing a tuneup? Anyone know where to send it? I'm really digging the knife but obviously, I don't believe this just happened when I received it by mistake but regardless, it is what it is and I want to at least get her fixed right... any help would be SUPER appreciated..

That was my first post.... I don't know how much more clear I can be.

This thread will remain available for future reference. If there are any future major oversights as to an items condition that turn into another thread here, then we have this here as a tool to see a pattern. I can't disagree with you that the probability this was received in the same condition as sent seems most likely, though I was really hoping that would not be the case. Please do post back when you receive your missing items.

Will do bro... I agree with you whole heartily. Can't wait to get Matt to work some magic on this thing!

Well, you guys have both been civil with eachother. Let us know when the spare parts arrive and what the outcome of Matts work is. If it was me I would've returned it and been done. Hopefully you won't have regrets every time you pick up the knife!

Yeah, I hope the knife is not too screwed up, but it on its way to me now. I guess time will tell.
And I agree, I would have taken the refund and ran.
Matt

The fact that you made a thread at all about this transaction is a call out .. Threads like these should be for situations when the two party's can not come to a agreement on how the matter should be handled . If you simply wanted your knife fixed you could have gone to the sub forum for that.

Up until this thread was made I had no clue who either of you were . So basically you called him out . So telling me reading is fundamental is a slap in the face as far as I am concerned.

I hope it works out for ya.I just dont like the dog ate my homework story.were all adults and thats a story expectfrom my kid.nothing goes from perfect to junk and missing stuff made out of titanium and steel that fast.fishy
