A few thoughts-

Paid $12 after shipping. The knife is worth a whole lot more than that. The fit and finish is VERY nice and it has a nice sharp blade.

I officially owned the knife when, about 15 minutes after opening the packaging, I reached for the bandaids :p. It does come VERY sharp!

No, a Sebenza it isn't. However, this is a knife that people could pay $40-50 for easily and not feel ripped off. It's comfortable to hold, easy to open (though not just incredibly fast) and has nice jimping on the top of the blade. It sits fairly low in the pocket but is easily accessible.

This is a blade I'll likely EDC.

you can actually flick the blade open real fast with your thumb, using the same motion you would use to shoot a marble with your thumb.

I love mine. I reworked the edge, and now it's way beyond sharp. A touch of mineral oil, and it opens very smoothly. All in all, a great knife for $40: and an even greater one for $10.

I got mine in last week and am also very pleased with it. I paid .85 cents for the knife and its hard to complain when its that cheap. It could easily sell for 50 plus dollars without a problem. Will it ever replace a CRK?, no, but it does fill in a void when you want a sebbie like knife to do abusive style tasks.

I just got one today, along with 3 other sanrenmu models. The 710 is definitely the pick of the litter, and will be EDC mine for sure.

I had that knife,too.710 whitch producked some years later is wenderful ,but in this 2 or 3 years,it's totally different things.

Exactly right. I got mine yesterday, played with it, then watched youtube video and voila!
That is much faster than pushing it. Is this quickness typical of thumb studded blades?

The fellow in the youtube video does something interesting flicking the blade from below (not using his thumb) and also flipping the knife upside down.

I find that the nail works really well too.
Similar technique works with liner locked Tenacious, but not my lockback spydercos.
I have no idea what the steel is like other than it is very sharp at the moment. It appears more like a toy unlike my trusty utilitarian spyderdogs but what a great toy for $10.
Even the clip works. Joy!

Where can you get these thing fellas?

ebay seems the best place to buy them, but they can be found all over the internet. I've purchased several and really like them. I've given several to friends and family & they've all been very happy with them.
No, they are not a Sebenza & no one in their right mind will confuse them with a Sebenza, but for the money, they are a STEAL.

I had been looking for a "good to be" knife to carry everyday. I have a handful of pocket knives in a wide range of quality, poor to good. I had been carrying a Gerber LST with me for a while along with another Gerber Paraframe I, off and on. I like that knife for it's price but the blade would dull up so quickly. I then began my search for the best value for the dollar knife. I stumbled onto these SRMs and watched a handful of the videos and ready many reviews over a weeks time. Decided to make my purchase from exduct. I got my 710 yesterday (2 week wait) and immediately was impressed with it. My knowledge on knives is still beginner/intermediate but this seems like a nice knife. It also came razor sharp and was a "little" stiff opening but is already beginning to loosen up. I also got one of the all black Bee knives with the finger guard. I like it too but it's size is not as EDC friendly. But it is also quality. I have the 763 in my sight when they re-stock.

Since I started the thread almost exactly a year ago, I thought that since someone "necroed" it, I would give an update.
The 710 has been in my edc rotation. It isn't carried as much as my main three (grip, endurance, American Lawman) but that is simply because I prefer a bigger blade. It still sees plenty of pocket time. It still locks up tight with no blade play and holds a good edge. It even spent a day clipped in my trunks in the gulf of Mexico. It is overall, a really good investment.

Praising and gloating over a blatant ripoff of a product, especially when the real knife is represented by a participating sub forum on BF, doesnt seem correct, iit's in bad taste, disrespectful, or something else.

Yeah, it's probably the "something else". Since Sanrenmu puts their own name on the 710 and doesn't pretend it's anything but what it is, it's no "blatant ripoff". Frankly, you have to stand back about 15 feet, squint your eyes and use a fertile imagination to see something other than a small, inexpensive pocket knife. If you think you're seeing a Sebenza -- which is the usual and silly accusation -- I suggest staring at a Bradley Alias or Boker Epicenter.

Welcome to the SRM 710 club. Everybody seems to love this blade.

I also have the SRM B4-781, ultra-slim and very sharp.

Awaiting arrival of an SRM WL5-721P

I'm going to keep buying SRMs while the gettin' is good. I can't believe knives this good are available at these prices.

Anyone who thinks the 710 is a blatant ripoff of a sebenza has apparently never seen either knife.
