So this won't happen today...Ok, we might need a backstory to that one then. . .![]()
I read that line like Hans Gruber talking about how Takagi won't be joining them.He won't be posting in this thread further. (I think he broke his funny bone.)
The misunderstanding has been cleared up...and all is good. No need to continue piling on or bustin' chops. He won't be posting in this thread further. (I think he broke his funny bone.)
Just an update and to keep a record of how long it takes. Still waiting for my knife to come back. Its been around six weeks so far.
WHAT?That’s unacceptable. I would not support someone who needs six weeks to screw on a pocket clip.

I guess I’m about to experience for myself that storied Curtiss warranty service I’ve heard so much about. . .![]()
To be fair, it’s not just the pocket clip. I sent it back for the full spa treatment. It had lock stick and a stripped out screw hole as wellThat’s unacceptable. I would not support someone who needs six weeks to screw on a pocket clip.
Start taking bets on which gets home first....To be fair, it’s not just the pocket clip. I sent it back for the full spa treatment. It had lock stick and a stripped out screw hole as well
BTW, Soon after, I sent my CRK Sebenza back to the mothership for a spa day as well. I bet it’ll take just as long or longer.
It’s a real horse race. I expected the Curtiss would only take a couple weeks based on what I’d heard of his reputation for pretty quick turn around, but maybe the issues were more serious than I thought. IDK, it’s anyone’s guess at this point.Start taking bets on which gets home first....![]()

I think even my wife would get tired of one after six weeks. That makes more sense now. I can accept 6 weeks for a spa treatment![]()

You don’t owe me anything and in the future, I’d buy a knife from you based on your description alone without pictures. You sold me a knife I love at a very good price.Amigo! DM me your cost of shipping both ways, including the spa service and your PP email. Atleast let me cover the cost of shipping and repair.
What screw hole was stripped? I've never stripped a knife screw. Carried it three days max and thumb tightened the pivot a few times.
I sold you a lemon. Unintentionally, but a lemon all the same.

As for the the other thing, I can’t remember which one but one of the clip screw holes was stripped probably because it was cross threaded when the knife was put together would be my guess. That clip may not have been the original clip it came with. Maybe why it had that gap as you suggested originally. You disclosed it in the sales thread and I was fully aware of the issue.
Maybe the slim models have their own clips and it broke and someone replaced it with a regular/standard model clip? Who knows? In reality it doesn’t matter, it’s being addressed as we speak and I’m very happy with our transaction and the knife! We are more than good. Like I said, I’d buy from you any time. . .
Drive over toWell, I'm happy you don't feel like you got the short end. My apologies friend.
You can bet I'll make it up to you on the next deal.
