ive gotta figure a way to add it to the gear. The 9 is lashed to the pack, the 2 rides shotgun on the belt (soon to be scout carry) and the 11 hangs on around the neck...so where to put the 10 since ive thought about it and im not leaving any behind.....hmmmm.....

Trail hawk/bk7 are what I've been using since the snow melted. I can HIGHLY recommend it. I just need leather sheaths for the both of them and it'll be perfect. Funding for that got cut though when I heard about some offer from Bladite about a knife for beckerheads, that some of us may be able to get our hands on. Or something like that.... :)
If i am able to get my hands on a 10 I'm for sure going to sub my 7 out for it.
 
i'd love to get one, not being a bh i guess i have to pay more and wait till the first but it doesn't exactly tell me who to contact other than not kabar

I think the Hawk plus a medium sized knife like a 2 or a 10 is a good combo along with something real small like a 13 or folding pocket knife. Before I discovered BK&T or blind horse knives I really only had 1 fixed blade knife (ontario rat 5) and my two hawks, I made that hawk do a lot of different things,it was a good combo.
 
Yeah, that's pretty much the Nessmuk thing. I totally get it, especially if you read his book. But in AZ, especially when trying to be low-impact, there's just not much wood processing that takes place. Still got the toys, though :)

I dremeld a choil into my 7 and it functions very well now without sacrificing batoning strength. Between that, my hawk, and the 11 I carry in my boot nothing really stands in my way. Actually I just noticed I lied, I actually use a becker/hawk/becker combo. Although those blind horse knives are very handsome blades.
 
i'm just going to have ethan sign one, and then flip it for $999 and call it a day. doesn't matter how much effort went into getting this to see light of day.

okay, no, not really. sorry hopeful guys ;) it will be a safe queen, as i have a good user. too special for me to use, been a long time coming.

kudos to Ethan and Camillus for the vision, the John (who never posts) and Paul (who does, but more often please) for snagging the blanks, and of course, your friendly but stern mods for bringing this along. hope you guys enjoy it. honor to all.
 
I was actually a little worried about taking up one of the 'slots' for these, as they're neat and I really appreciate everyone's effort but the BK10 is not a 'holy grail' knife for me like it appears to be for some of the non Beckerheads. But since it looks like there will be some left for those guys, I'm takin' it and using it.
 
mine with get the modd shop treatment and be a user, already did a paintshop photo edit of what i want to do, and it looks awful good :p , thanks to kabar for making these available :thumbup:
