So when the BK10 becomes available are you

Mine are users, no safe queens here... A BK2 and now my newest - a BK14 which I just used to slice/dice some sausage for a Jumbalaya mix I'm making for dinner :)

I saw you snag that :) I thought you were waiting on the 24 ;)

i think they're banned in CA (west coast) now so nothing for Washington or Oregon :)
Good one!

I'll probably have to get one, lord knows I don't need it but we all know I'm getting one anyway. I've already got micarta for it and a combat master sheath waiting.

For the newbies, can someone give an exact description of the specs of the 10? I looked at the KA-BAR website along with a couple of online knife stores and found no info. I am seeing all the references to the BK-2. How is it different? What is the length of the blade, weight and thickness compared to a BK-2? Is is a shorter, thicker BK-7? Is the grip the same size as the large Beckers?

I've got the 2 and the 16 and the classic KA-BAR do I need a 10? If it will slice veggies I may be able to slip it in under the radar, without the wife knowing. They all look like black knives to her. "Honey, whats this box you just got in the mail?", "Oh, I had a problem with a knife I purchased and they replaced it...it's your favorite color, black....nice to have it back at home!"

Thanks, I did a search to try and find some of this info, but I'm not the best at locating stuff on the internet.

It's a short version of the 7.
longer than the 2 by 1/2" but thinner, so more slicey and lighter.
same handle as the rest of the "fullsize" Beckers.

If you want one for slicing veggies and carving turkeys, roasts, and leg of lamb - get the BK5.
