So would you rehandle this?

I think you made the right decision. Those scales you took off look terrible. Look how messed up those holes are. I'm curious to see the outcome. I hope it's up to you expectations. I might be rescaling a Busse soon too or i might just use some RIT dye because i'm cheap and lazy.

Should look cool, are you getting a similar shape done? Palm swell, Magnum size?

Do it!

I plan on doing a similar thing on a used TGLB.
Strip it, convex it and give it some nice new scales.

Will you just order the material and make the scales yourself or will you send it in to a maker?
I am curious about your ideas.
Since I lack the equipment, I might just get the material and send it to somebody over here.

BTW the material I found is Metapol from Raffir, there are some great variants with different patterns.
Especially the one which is almost white and turns blue in direct sunlight with green glow in the dark effect is great.

this is the handle material. Am I stupid for loving this?

Who made that scale?

Well, the material can be purchased from many sellers but that is a hinderer custom knife.

That metapol blue uranium looks awesome. Very interesting material.

Never even heard of that.

I am going to have someone do it. The material is about $100. So it is not cheap.

A nice and sharp perfectly centered .25" drill bit will remove the modern tubes perfectly with a SLOW drill press to keep down the heat. Heat will start to melt or burn the color of any G10 or micarta. Make sure your guy knows that and it should go fine. I have changed a few of mine and been very satisfied with the results. Making a knife yours is part of "No Regrets!", yet that is much harder concept for some to grasp than others, and that is just fine. Do as you wish and post pics after! :)

Yes but im looking for someone who works with green and black silver strike carbon fiber to make scales
