Man that's sweet! Congrats bro. You followed your instincts and it came out spectacular. Anything Hinderer makes to me is a plus. I think it transcends the whole look of the knife. Bravo!!! Well done sir.

Love seeing people customize their knives. The green isn't my cup of tea but if you like it who gives a hoot what I think! Great work on it though, very cleanly done, looks great.
 
I kinda dig it after looking at it a few times. Not really my thing, but it's still cool looking! But above all, you made it your own! and for that I give you a 10! I have this same project going on one of my blades I'll unveil at some point myself, it's part of the fun of these things.

I would venture to guess that particular blade has seen more use than many we see posted...Cobalt is most worthy of testing BIG Busse blades especially Mistresse's which tend to go Airborne to a wooden target:cool::cool::thumbsup: Then he cleans and dresses them up to parade in front of the public...What A Hog:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
 
Green is not my thing but the more I have looked at it the more it has grown on me! Love the black liners!
 
Thanks all. Shephard custom did it. Eric is a very talented guy when it comes to working micarta/G10 scales for any type of knife. He has had issues with delivering product to customers on a timely manner, which is a problem for him as he has lost some business on BF because of it. But his work product is impressive.

I just dropped by and saw your post and was going to say "Go for it!"
Then I skipped to page 5 and saw you did..Good for you.
I have a Jungle Assault that has Carbon Fiber from a Jet Canopy for handles on one of my "Keeper" knifes so I was going to give you a Thumbs-Up on doing yours.
I see that you did and I love it!!
The Jungle Assault was my Holy Grail knife and one of the hardest for me to track down.
It has been touched up by Bann, and the hairs go "Ting" when it shaves them off. ;)
I'm in the Phoenix area if you get close, you guys are welcome to stop in, there's a room up stairs if you need it.

Chuck, well we do road trips out that way every summer. So maybe we will hook up next summer. Post pics of your blade in here. I'd like to see it. Was the jungle assault one you ordered or is it one of the two that I ordered and then sold off?
