So...................................

Honestly, I only come to Busse, the Busse sell and the Custom Blades Sell forums

I just did not take time to react to the poll.

INFI is a favorite for fixed blades, and I love ZDP-189 for folders.

best

INFI must not be your favorite blade steel. I can't believe that only 8 people on this forum prefer INFI(including me) to other steels according to the poll on the general forum. So if you don't like INFI the most, what do you prefer to INFI? I am very interested.

It's up to 50 now.

Another one who doesn't venture off the reservation to often. Infi is definitely my favorite, but SR101 is very close behind it. For folders, M4 hands down.

I have an internet tab direct linked to the Busse Forum and the Exchange on the home page of my phone. I rarely visit the other stuff.

However as of my vote 55 are for INFI, by % points Infi is also currently winning.

I knew that INFI was going to blow away everything else. Outside of Busse, most knife owners cannot make up their mind which steel they prefer. Some like 3v, some like 5160, some like 52100, etc. We all like INFI. Easy choice.

I like a few steels. No doubt INFI is high on that list but properly heat treated 5160 has also proven excellent as has CPM 3V. Recently, I acquired a couple pieces in Z wear and though I cannot render a judgment yet, it does show promise.

Uses for me include: cutting, chopping, batoning and the like; I spend a lot of time outdoors in the summer and autumn in the woods and forest so some general camp duties like food prep, shelter construction and firewood processing, and hunting duties. I am certainly not an expert but I like to really use my knives as much as I can. The steels I listed work well for me.

Agreed. I think Z-wear is very promising and the way Nathan and Survive HT 3v, is top notch. I expected 3V to be higher on the list. I would pick it over most of the steels on that list. But my priorities are different than those who pick weaker steels like S30V.

Yeah, there is still plenty of time for others to advertise on other forums. The more people vote, the better the results will be.
