😂😂😂 thanks for the heads up Cobalt - some pretty funny responses in that thread....and also thanks for the laugh!Apparently, some think that we should not vote in a general forum poll, because we skew the results. I think telling people not to vote is socialism? maybe? hmmm. I think we should show the ones who want to keep us down because of our INFI heritage that we will not be quiet. Lets get the votes up higher. Lets push for 200.....
Seriously though, I find it funny, that there is a thought that us voting there would skew results, when not voting skews them more.
I maybe the odd one out, but if the blade steel is decent, I don't care what it is for folders. 440c, 154, vg10, m4, cts-xhp, a2, h1, doesn't matter to me. Though I do have a preference for tool steels and carbon blades. I am much more concerned with geometry and blade shape.
I am picky when it comes to fixed blades. Priority to toughness for blades bigger than 5 inches, and priority to edge retention followed by ease of sharpening for knives with blades smaller than 5 inches.
Has anyone used m390 or equivalent (like 20cv) for fixed blades 4"+ and up? If so how did it hold up?
The hurtbutt is strong in that thread. I forgot that the Busse forum was quarantined from general population, apparently!

I have 20CV in a S!K GSO 5.1. But I haven't used it enough to get a feel for its edge holding.
