Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Very cool.

Been looking into a Bullnose since they are coming up in the production line.
So, the Bullnose is a smaller version of the Bullbuster? Am I seeing that correctly in pics?

Yep, that's about the short of it :D .
This is a bullbuster over a bullnose, or at least the size reference is just about right.

Coonskinner that's a beauty of a bead on the smaller soddie. now what is all this about gec having some special bullnose's coming up?!? look in the production schedule? done! so....does the name trevor nichols mean something:) sunbrite acrylic means something fer shure;) it would be nice to see a smaller lockback from gec like the mudbug;do smith and sons have , i dunno i'm not a lawyer or whatever, a trademark or exclusive rights to such a design? if so maybe we need to lobby them for such a critter.

With the popularity of the sodbuster, how do you think it would work as a forum knife?
O1, lock back, natural canvas micarta (coloration is open to debate)

Not sure how well a sodbuster forum knife would be received. As a soddie nut, I'd like to think lots of people would be on board for one as a forum knife but realistically there are many people who don't care for the pattern and feel it's not a gentleman's folder. Maybe if one was done in a premium handle choice like wood, bone or stag and on a small frame such as a sodbuster jr and not the full size sodbuster, then maybe it would fly. I'd love to see it, just don't know how realistic it would be to sell to the masses of traditional lovers here on BF.

Thanks Brian for those comparison shots. Those are awesome.
One thing though. Obviously you like the nifebrite, but I was wondering. Does the glow diminish over time?

I have only had them for a couple of months and don't use those 2 to much. I haven't noticed any change but I'm sure it will diminish.

I have a 47 two blade Hayin Helper in NifeBrite that is 3 years old now. It hasn't diminished at all.

Anybody that has a Sodbuster JR in Carbon Fiber, I would like to hear your thoughts on it. I just got one and all I can say is "WOW!"

I have had mine for a couple yrs.. I do like the light weight and the gator snap.. Goes in the rfp on most of my hikes!! Wish it was CV though.. John

I did a short little review a few years back, a very nice knife. Due to it's ultra thin profile and lightweight liner less design, it's the perfect knife for dress slacks or khakis, just disappears! I will second the notion that a CV version would take it to the next level but a fine knife as is!

Actually I think the Carbon Fiber Sodbuster is perfectly suited to a Stainless Steel blade. Maybe even a Super Steel Blade. It seems to me that this knife puts the best of the modern materials and traditional pattern together in a very pleasing way. There are any number of selections available in CV or, from different manufacturers, 1095. I think the modern materials and design of this specific knife just scream for modern blade steel. And I think those of you who know me, know that I am a staunch Traditionalist when it comes to pocket knives. But I also try to keep an open mind.
