Sodbuster...and lots of them!

Love the custom Bullnose! Man I wish they would do a run something like these!

I have some new release case sodbusters, I'll need to snap some pics and and get them posted!

Hey trevytrev, any ventures on this #71 run?

Bday present to myself. Couldn't resist. This one was at a big box hardware store on clearance for $12. I can't believe I've gone this long without a Soddy. What a great pattern. I'm already eying a chestnut version. Some day I'll probably NEED a GEC too!

$12? What a bargain.

I recently picked up the exact same Case Jr. model for around the same price. It was the a display model at a Tractor Supply store, the last one they had in the store. And yes, I liked it so much that it did lead me to buy a GEC soddie. In fact, two.

Clockwise from top: A vintage Schlieper Eye Brand with saw blade (beast of a knife!); Sodbuster Jr. in yellow Delrin; Bull Nose in Nifebrite; Bull Buster in orange Delrin; Sodbuster in Navy blue Delrin.

I was looking at this picture of my GEC 71s and there in the middle of the group was Bob Andrews' (rma100) SFO Tortoise Shell covered Bull Nose. Bob and I butted heads and sniped at each other in the past but patched things up and looking at the knife brought back pleasant memories of him.

Here are my shots of Bob's SFO. A fine knife by a fine man.

Great publicity shots for your no-nonsense knives, ED, and fine sentiments expressed about the late Bob Andrews.

All the beautiful practical knives thread has inspired me to try and make a sodbuster. I have only ever made one slip joint which was a surprisingly decent disaster, so maybe you could say that it is my "goal" to make a sodbuster.

Starting to think about a Bullnose.....a red Micarta one, or did they do it in natural too? These are dangerous thoughts I'm thinking.......

I have an OD green canvas micarta one, a fantastic knife, and I hope soon they release red or burgundy or maroon linen micarta. Can't resist!
