Is that a smith and wesson??? I have always wanted a break open revolver. That is sweet. I don't think I need to say how much I love that knife...again.

H&R model 999 Sportsman (6 inch. they made a 4 inch, but why bother?). One of the best .22LR revolvers ever.

nice, looks like a Smith and wesson Model 3?, my grandpaw in law has a nickel plated mother of pearl grips that was bout in 1905 or 1907, its a nice peice of history

And this one FINALLY the sheath is dry and done! I hate the wet. I hate the wet most when it gets so wet that everything leaks. (that takes about 5 inches in one week with no sun)

The leuku sheath should actually be getting along tomorrow, too!

Man, those look good, Christof. I'm especially liking that hunter/utility (scalper?) pattern... ;) How does that thing handle?

Like a dream!

It's a heavy duty blade, starting at 3/16 at the tang, despite the distal taper. More of finger remover than scalper when you get to cases :D

I managed to get the balance right up on the index finger despite the size, so it's pretty quick and dextrous.

What's the wood on that the knife in the first picture?

I'm thinking about buying some pieces of wood just to make into blocks/scales, do you have any requests? I can get just about anything.

First pic on first page? ipe, argentine LV, ipe.

on this page there is maple, 'coyote brown' micarta, And jatoba.

i am liking ip, bocote, the jatoba is nice. Osage orange is always on my list, and purpleheart i could use more of.

i have been liking black acacia of late....

Okay, between the kids and myself, we've had a couple weeks of fevers and chills, and everything is a bit disorganized still. but here's some photos of recent stuff:

This one went to Kalama and is pretty much who I like the "field dirk" style at this point (as opposed to the larger dirks) The regular field dirk i think will be going with a 9-10 inch blade, this one is a bit longer.

Here's another one, leaf blade shape with an expedition sheath that can be used for inverted carry:

I really like the blade shape. It's a bit unorthodox looking with the handle shape- more modern handle on a blade design that goes back 3000+ years!

That's a very slight grind on the spine edge, not enough to make anyone think it's double edged, but good enough to smooth out the look and feel of the design. Of course, I'm doing one full double edged now.....

I really like the blade shape too, and I think that you've really nailed the old + new thing. I can't recall ever seeing anything exactly like this. :D

That's a REALLY nice touch. :)
