You are welcome, Duncan!! That knife reminds me of when you started on BF and sold me a similar, but older, knife!!
Remember the brand? M&G??

Oops!! What's going on up there???
:rolleyes::rolleyes::confused::confused::D:D

I sure do Charlie-in fact I look back with embarrassment :o at times!
Whew Maher & Grosh - great company - oh to turn the clock back - but theres not somuch need now with what you are doing for us and the knife world!
The good ol' Traditionals are coming our way again!

Sarah...just how do you do it? you seem to come up with the news - everytime ( and its Great! ) -Thank you :thumbup:

She has the force Duncan.

That knife of yours is my favorite of Charlie's SFOs thus far.

Lyle, I don't know how they get better -its funny - they do...but when you hold Charlies 66 frame HJ in your hand -it seems as though NOTHING could get better than that!

Glad you like it a little, Duncan!:)

I like those 66 patterns too. Jacks, Mooses (Meese?), Stockman;
That medium-sized serpentine handle is a fine pocket carry!

Charlie, I had a wee show and tell with knives last night, I presented my mate with his GEC, he said he just couldn't use it it was so nice - how many of us have been there, so I got out quite a few knives with his same Carbon blade and showed just how personal a knife gets and how it becomes that much dearer to you when Patina that was earned starts to ingrain - I showed him the MINT ones, and the tidy ones with the colour on the blade - I was wanting the response to be - " oh yeah - just look at that neat patina"....but I got....."oh...you just cant beat the shiny look"( groan ).

My GEC,s that you have SFO'd are my pride and joy, I love them to bits!

Proof once again that humans carry the Magpie gene!
:D

Awesome^
time to pay some money into my credit card I guess! lol

I don't know if I am happy or sad, I just got back from the doctors, - I have been diagnosed with a very rare disease, I hope I spell it right ...... Icantgetenufoftraditionalitis

I toss and turn at night, I burn up inside wanting more, but go through massive depression when my credit card wont allow me any more room, I constantly drool when on the computer, my knees go weak when I tend to my knives - fever hits me then and I start talking to them as they whisper to me ever so silently so others in the room cant hear them, ( only me ).
I feel alone with this.

I thought this place was the support group for that affliction(?) :p

Duncan, buy two traditional and call me in the morning.;-)

Aw, Duncan, you skeered me.

Whew.

I have been using my Radio Knive (Boy's clip edition, ebony) regularly, the screwdriver in particular.

I am eagerly looking forward to these new Radio Jacks. The UN-X-LD fits so neatly in the diamond shield (which is itself so excellently evoked and echoed by Barry Johnson's etch artwork), and GEC continues to up its game when it comes to jigging.

All the #15 pattern variations are good slicers and cutters, IMO.
I have 6 different ones I am currently using. I am partial to the Spear and the Sheepfoot variations, but the clip on my Tidioute Radio is very good also.
The Spey is still the best "spreader" though!!
Here's a pic, with my Red Radio center left.

(Quoted with picture due to the next Sparkling Traditional Treasure being produced on this same #15 frame)

Charlie, is your partiality toward a spear main specific to the ones found on the #15 frame, or more universal?
