Some Sparkling Traditional Treasure!

Very nice (the knife, that washing basket er..:D.)

The colour even reminds me of rich tortoisehell, it's going to be a fine item.

Merry Christmas and beyond to all who read here.

I agree with you Willgoy!
Here it is!
I think GEC tweaked the jigging a little - they are zeroing in on that good ole' Peachseed, that's for sure!!
I like the darker color also - Antique Yellow. There is only a small run - 40 of these.
I compared the one and two blade for thickness in the bottom picture.
I'm really happy with this bunch!

Looking good, Charlie.

(As in, fantastically good.)

Thanks for including the perspective showing the comparative width of the spines.

I should be used to it by now, but I'm continually surprised at how goooooooood that UN-X-LD diamond shield looks....

If I didn't know better I would have thought that was a scan of one of your old knives, Charlie. They really got everything right on that one.

That is the first and only one I opened to look at. I suspect they are all consistent.

Polished blades, Chris. Etches show a bit better on a polished surface I think.

I received one of these beautiful knives for Christmas! Very impressed with it, especially how well it rides in the pocket given the size. I do have a question, though. My pen blade sits a little proud of the handle. Enough that I noticed it when it bit me during use. Normally, I would just file the kick down a little and no problem, but the pen blade here appears kickless. Any suggestions?

Is this something that could be tweaked back at the factory?

I vote for sending it in to GEC for fine tuning, if you can stand to be without it for a while. It's a nice knife, and it would be a shame to mess it up on a DIY fix.

I've had mine in my left front pocket for weeks. As noted above, it has such a slim profile for a good sized knife, I often forget it is there.

Another vote for sending it in here. If it was just a simple kick filing I'd say go for it, but that looks like it needs some more in depth work.

It's definitely the most beautiful to look at knife I own. Sending it in is a sad thought, but I agree it is probably better than myself trying to tinker with it--

It's a delicate job to file those "kickless" kicks, much better done at the factory.
I sent one back for the same slight malady.
I hope these are the only two that "slipped through" Q.C!

Do you mean the point is exposed when the knife is closed? If so, there is definitely something amiss; sounds like there may be some material inside the blade well that is preventing the blade from completely closing. If it is something else, return it to the dealer you bought it from for an exchange if possible.
