Some Sparkling Traditional Treasure!

I agree with you Willgoy!
Here it is!
I think GEC tweaked the jigging a little - they are zeroing in on that good ole' Peachseed, that's for sure!!
I like the darker color also - Antique Yellow. There is only a small run - 40 of these.
I compared the one and two blade for thickness in the bottom picture.
I'm really happy with this bunch!

Well...... Charlie has demonstrated the "Theory" of Devolution.:thumbup:

Here is an evolutionary side-road, Lyle.

When I order a special run, there is often a late shipment of odds and ends, that didn't come through the initial run. Maybe they ran short of pins or shields, and finished up a few later, then shipped them to me in a small box.
When the 1-blade DJs came through, there were actually parts remaining to make a couple of 2-blades (4 to be exact), and so GEC asked If I wanted them done?! Well, duh!!

One remains in the Factory archive, one goes to my archive, and the other two are headed toward long-time collectors of my SFOs.

Thought I would share a picture here though, FYI.

One of four, with its 1-blade brother:

Wow. Lucky collector I say. Thanks for showing us Charlie.

I like very much how the double bladed version just isn't another Trapper- although be it a darned nice knife as these are, a Trapper with a Pen- that's extremely cool.

Obviously I haven't been paying close enough attention here. When were those made Charlie ? I love those. With only 40 made, I'm sure they are long gone :(

Nice to see some patina a-growin' there, Joe!
Happy New Year!

I asked for one of the tan 2-bladers for Christmas before I knew about the single blades...gonna have to hunt around. Both are stellar. Between the bone on this and the new Radio knife and the other touches (like having usable edges out of the tube!) GEC has stepped it up. My favorite little features are the hefty stock on the saber ground main blade and the slender, long pen. Can't wait to see the next Charlie SFO.

Hear Hear my friend, The bone is just a wee step away from Peachseed - just stunning! Extremely exciting stuff!

Thanks Charlie. Got it and replied. Let me know if it didn't come through on your end. My computer is doin some whacky stuff

Those bone singles are exceptional. At 40 that is a very elite run, great stuff of dreams.

I sent mine to GEC on Friday of last week to adjust the kick on the pen blade for me, and I got it back TODAY (less than a week after mailing!). So happy to have it back. My crappy photo does not do this knife justice. Thanks to GEC and Charlie for this beauty.

Love the Sabre Grind, it looks just like a early Camillus blade of mine!
Cant wait to see the Bone in person!

Good to hear (and see). Any notion how they did it?

Looks like they very carefully and expertly filed down the area where the kick would normally be. You can only tell from the tang stamp being just a bit closer to the edge now than normal. Very well done on their part. And much better than anything I could have attempted myself!

Thanks for the follow up. Looking at mine helps me envision what they did, while baffling me at the same time-- so little to work with! A similarly tangless pen blade on another knife has a wee bit o' the hokey-pokey going on, but not nearly to the point (heh) that I've felt the need to look/think further about it. I'm glad to know there is remedy potentially available, should the point become more exposed through use and subsequent sharpening.

Enjoy your new knife (even more).

Lucy's in the sky again! An omen!
There are hints of impending production!!
