Ah, gotcha. The "CC" special, as it were.

Only problem for me (due to my lack of winning a lottery) is that there are about 4 knives in the pipeline that all look very appealing to me coming out all in close proximity to each other. The #48 clip/wharncliffe, the Northwoods #31, the #41 Abilene, and whatever it is you are teasing us about. :)

And here I just told my wife we needed to watch our spending...

I can't wait to see these Charlie! They look to be shaping up to something very special!!! Something tells me we won't have long to wait... are they done yet?

I'm hoping for October 1st, Barry.
No, they are not made yet.
So far, just a materializing figment; a foggy shape in the distance!
Nothing tangible but the trembling of my credit card!!

;)

I'm really excited about the Diamond Edge Series! Charlie, have you decided that these are only going to be in jigged peachseed bone, or do you think there might be another dyed bone or possibly a wood handled version?

Well, Charlie... The GEC website has some interesting photos. Can you give us the final word about what cover/handle materials, patterns, and colors will be available?

I think Charlie said there will be a jack and single blade version with peach seed jigged bone, the rest? We'll know soon :)

Mike, being its a #48 it should be 3 7/8" closed.

I just flew in from my vacation, tonight. I will work on getting more info and pictures out on these knives.
Peachseed jigged bone will be the primary cover material on these. When you have smooth covers, polishing the stamped shields risks buffing off the details, so it is not feasible. I can't wait to see the blade detail. GEC has some poor pics of the blades, but you might be able to see the saber grind (somewhat) - - - - - - - -on their website!

Yeah... heavy on the somewhat.

In other news, it looks like at least some of the covers are going to be made of dark chocolate!

Somewhat more of a view of the saber-ground main blades:

Here's the second photograph above enhanced to show the lines of the saber grind more clearly:

(AKA, adding patina with a computer!)

What have we here?

It looks like the shields are going for one last gambol before being herded into the Affixing Area.

So is this going to be a 2 bladed jack only or will there be both jack and single blade versions?

I would think that the covers are not jigged and those chocolate will turn brown peach seed. My opinion, not that it pays much.

You're KILLIN me! :p :p

I am a little late to this party, but that pattern has always stuck a cord with me. Thanks Sarah. Those shots just topped it off.
