Congrats Noswad! Hope you enjoy it bro... and do so safely!

Gshark stay safe man. People suck.

Had a stray bob tail cat come visit last night. Ran right in the house when i opened the door... Friendly. A little scratched up but otherwise a pretty cat.

The wife fed it ... It was starving... Then i sent it back outside..

... I bet we just "adopted" that cat... I don't want that damn cat... But the wife fed it good... Chicken, Tuna, and a bowl of milk.

I'm expecting to see it by the door sometime today looking for his handout...

Welp.. I got it. So far I like it. Definitely a Jeep, drives like one, rides like one. Got a good deal on it and it's in really good condition other than having been smoked in, but the smell was mostly in the seat covers which were mostly dry rotted anyway so now I have it smelling OK and it's got pretty nice looking seats in it. Gonna scrub out a couple small stains on the passenger seat, hit it with some Febreeze, wash it, and vaccuum a couple more things in it and I should have it looking and smelling good in no time. Has a little cigarette singe on the drivers seat, but that doesn't hurt anything and it's light enough that if I can find a gray sharpie I should be able to make it look like it almost isn't there.

Time to start the Jeep mod enabling....

Thanks for the knife suggestions guys! I might just save a little money and put my BK15 in the front and my tomahawk in the back. The 15 can do all of the knifey cutty stuff and the tomahawk can do all of the axey choppy stuff. :D

Thanks WW! Gonna get it cleaned up and stick on of those Beckerhead stickers you sent me (thanks again!) on the back today. :D

My Grandma did the same thing with a bob tailed housecat that came by her house.. now creatively dubbed "Bob." He sleeps in the hay in one of our barns but comes by her house every evening for his food. :D

 That's a bit.. er, "extreme" for what I intend to use it for, but it does look cool. :D

The guy we got it from had a really nice Wrangler set up similar to that, though.

Gonna get some pics of the Liberty today after I clean it up.

Stay safe Gshark!

G-Shark, keep your head on a swivel sir and stay safe. Too much evil in the world these days! Hell too much everything, stay safe man!

Nonsense!

Did you ever check out those Ontario's on the Big River site? The SP1 would make one heck of a $35 truck beater knife.

Of course, you could always bring a Becker along for the ride. My BK4, 10, 9, 16 or 17 take turns for beater truck blade duty.

Yeah, if I decide to buy one instead of just using my 15 I'm mainly looking at it and a Cold Steel Bowie Machete.

More like a big knife than a machete and it's 15.99 on the big river with free shipping.

EDIT: Plus, in a couple weeks a knife show is coming up, so I'm gonna wait until then so I can check out some stuff, hopefully see one of the SP1's and maybe some different things to consider.

Geez, stay safe GShark. Lotsa ugly in the world.

Man, Zee, those swords/sabers/bayonets are AWESOME. Love the old stuff. The D-guard one and the training cutlasses are so sweet. Congrats on the pile-o-steel.

G-Shark - Stay safe and God bless!

Noswad - Congrats!

ZZ - Someday I need to go through a few boxes in my garage...

Looking forward to the nuptials of Borat's brother (tip of the hat to Bee Kay) and "Dunkey" (from Shrek)...

Everyone else...hello, hi, whatever...

That should have a similar effect as my Swabbie does in traffic.
Oh, and any excuse for the knife show is worth it.

Smoke and prayers for the Belgians. Horrible stuff. I always thought that security lines were a huge security risk for this kind of crap too. Nice pile of steel, zz.

Noswad - Congrats!

Thanks!

Haha, it does have a bit of intimidation factor doesn't it? :D I figured it would be good for chopping and stuff if I needed to and the BK15 or my Wenger Viking on the keyring would cover anything that required more refined cutting.

stay safe Gshark

ZZ, love the collection. I picked an M4 bayonet for our M1 carbine this past weekend for $50 at a local antique store. it's made by case

Thanks all. AFAIK, all family and friends are fine. Seen some images though, can't imagine such things ever happening so close by, but they do. Not gonna go on a political rant here, but I suppose this will lead to stuff, which in turn will lead to other stuff. Slippery slopes are imminent, and political sides are edging both more right and left. The political middle ground is actually losing ground, a lot. History repeats.

Thanks again all of you for your kindness, your thoughts and prayers.

Grats on the Jeep Nos

Sweet looking haul Zz

Diddo on the nice ass Psyop

Smoke and prayers for Y'all over there Gshark.

Glad to hear you're ok, GShark.

Passing thru O'Hare right now.
Ate next to a dude who loked like Todd, but he didnt grimace enough. :p

Where you off to now? Seems like the mid-west is a bit off your usual trek.

So far today I've watched documentaries on 2 different restaurants, the Champagne region, the Loire Valley, and the Bordeaux region in France. Trying to decide what to watch next.

That's nice looking for a first set of wheels, Dawson. My first car was a '63 Ford Falcon.....in 1981 (or '82, I don't remember). POS, really...but it taught me about repair and maintenance. Boy, did it EVER teach me about repair and maintenance. Swapped out the engine with one from a '72 Pinto (IIRC) due to the original running out of coolant, my dad saying: 'just keep driving and we'll get some coolant when we get home" and then the rings all cracked from overheating. Got some really sharp lessons in LOTS of things cars when I was young. 'Twas good though, and those lessons have served me well over the past few decades.
