Something Wicked Comes This Way Knight Combat Khukuri

if I could afford it, I'd be all over this.
But, I'm gonna have to wait:(
Oh well, it's not like I'm hurtin for great knives:)

I'm still exploring the potential of the SMC! It's confusing to have too many good knives around- it becomes hard to decide which one to use!

Jason Knight's knives, from my own experience, are SO built to work that they actually demand that you do so as much as possible. His steel is ALIVE!

Oh great!!! Those kuks require a prosthetic sheath routine and now with a sharpened clip they will have to be stitched with bailing wire.

Way to go Jason......................................and Joey...........and probably STevie.

Paul

That's funny, Paul. I had nothing to do with this one, but do applaud the effort.

The only thing that concerns me visually and functionally is the distinct transition from the handle to the blade....real khukuris run straight from handle to blade, fore and aft.

i see your point

but this is a modern rendition of an all out fighting kuk styled blade and due to the sharpened clip to enhance thrusts and even backcuts to a certain degree maybe a slight finger guard is a big plus here. I believe it is and like everything cave boy makes performance is paramount.

You will be one of the first to handle this piece so you can judge for yourself buddy

Here is a pic of the blade with Jason's interputation of a Cho and his darkening process started.

Again this is his and a little of mine thoughts on a Combat Kuk not ment to be historicaly correct

Maybe the distinction from this and a real Khukuri is why I like this so much visually.

I'm sure it'll chop just fine, but then so does the real deal.

It's got your flavor all over it, Jason. Nice to see.

Joe: You go after the sinister blades. You've got a mean streak in you. I like that in a man. :D

I could tell that was Jason's doing a mile away - talk about a style that transcends design! Too cool...

Joe very cool indeed. Not usually my style but this one sure like the piece I would make the exception for.

Really cool one.

Jon

Yeah, but he kind of swishes when he walks, and he wanted his "baldric" strap to match his purse and shoes..........just sayin'.:D

Paul

I hoe you are working on the purse and the shoes just don't make the heels to high:D

I am sure Jason apreciates the kind words

I am waiting for some finished pics this is supposed to go from Jason To Paul tomorrow

Very cool and interesting piece.

I see your point, however one of the positives of custom knives "to me", is the ability to do it "your way", whether traditional, un-traditional, right or wrong.

Don't see that in Joe. I see him as one of the most "laid back" and "nice guys" I know, but I do see his tendency to gravitate towards the more sinister blades.

Wow, great looking blade. Not sure how effective the sharpened clip will be, and not a fan of dropped edges or Spanish notches, but this one's shaping up to be a real beauty...

Joe I think you have too much money... Ha!!! This thing is going to be freak'n sweat I'm sure!!! Can't wait to see the final product. :D
